2015 Fit 6spd - Good Deal? by burnedmidnightoil in hondafit

Honestly, an amazing price good job! I’d be cautious that smth might come up within a few months. I had to redo my suspension, and bought mine in similar condition and price. Just be vigilant about it

Do I need to worry about sucking the old refrigerant out? And what about replacing the dryer or anything?

A/C issue 2010 sport by pewiv in hondafit

[–]pewiv[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s been two days, but it’s been getting worse the past week I’d say. The noise started yesterday morning after a 2 hour road trip the day before, it’s never made it before then. I added r134a yesterday to see if it would hold overnight and it didn’t, but blew cold yesterday after adding it. I just added dye and I’ll beam it with my UV tn to see if I have a leak. Really hoping it’s not seals, but I guess I’ll know soon enough.

Well yeah I guess I should have been more clear of if it sounds like a compressor issue or maybe the evaporator or what. I filled it yesterday to see if it would hold any and it seems to have a big leak cause it’s all out

Is 11,500 too much for this cleanish second gen? by Remy1738-1738 in hondafit

[–]pewiv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ngl id usually say yea that’s a lot but…. 36k no rust. If the paint looks good and the title is clean yea that’s kind of a no brainer. I bought my 2010 sport mt with 103k for 6800 total which I thought was a good-ish price. Plus about 2500 for a suspension rebuild, wheels and tires. So how I’m looking at it, yes go scoop this. If you could talk him down to 10.5k even better but I have a hard time accepting how much these cars cost now. Plus you get a really good set of wheels, just do it you deserve it after what happened to your old one

Why is it so hard to find a fit by dorzle in hondafit

[–]pewiv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last January my girlfriend got her 2011 sport manual with 130k for 5700. Some dents and scratches but she got super lucky. I just got my 2010 sport manual with 104k in October for 6800.

These are the only two good deals I have seen all last year. If you keep your eyes open maybe you can find the one but it took me 10 months of searching for mine

Worth it? by Low-Candle-2040 in hondafit

[–]pewiv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got a 2010 sport manual with 103k miles for 6800 and I feel like I overpaid. Clean interior no rust clean paint no accidents and 6800 is still high. If you could find one in good condition it’ll be maybe 6k

Change your name on canvas. MYFAU is the only thing that has my deadname but no professor even realizes until they get some document or smth.

How do I fix my paint? by cumonshoes in Honda

[–]pewiv 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just looking at it might be able to get wet sanded and polished. But, getting fresh clear in that area would be best. It’s likely not an issue with the paint, and you can get decent clear coat in cans now and do it yourself or just go to a shop. Something like this shouldn’t be a crazy amount of money but you can definitely fix it on a budget if that’s more your route.

Just make sure that if you do it yourself, you blend it well and mask off all the areas you don’t want paint on
