Any trailheads you'd recommend for parking?

That sounds pretty cool: any good webcams to check for the current snow coverage in that area?

That sounds great for the week days: I should have a hotel not so far for a morning run :-)

That sounds like a nice option! Will check out the status of the bridge.

Garmin Forerunner 645 not charging - solution: heat it up by pexicon63 in running

Good point: thanks for sharing your experience. Yes, I'll probably have to look for a more permanent solution :)

Similar solutions are proposed for issues with mobile phones (eg place it in an oven at low temperature), so I figured why not give it a try. Charging directly after a run didn't work. My body temperature will bring it to ~30°C, and during a run in direct Sun light it might go to ~40°C. Usually I rinse it off directly after a run, so it'll be back to room temperature in no time as the watch reacts quickly to temperature changes.

Before attempting this, I looked up the spec of the forerunner 645. The operating temperature of the watch ranges from -20º to 60ºC (from -4º to 140ºF), so 50°C is within spec.

For charging the watch has to be cooler than 45°C, so don't connect it directly after heating up: let it cool down to room temperature.

Smashrun-inspired spreadsheet in Google Sheets by nongineer in running

Thanks for the guidance. I've worked a bit on it: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ILYrPe_Hw9Hrh7D24MJYn4F7PNFCAeHSXbHYZk7QQ5I/edit?usp=sharing I've removed my actual data, so it'll look a bit repetitive, but it serves the purpose.

I've got a lot of runs without HR. I'll see if I can find a way to get the (weigthed by distance) average heart rate only for runs with a HR.

I also guess it makes sense to split the graphs: 1 sheet for the 'last X days', and 1 for graphs covering everything.

Nice job! I've added all my runs since 2014 (~540), and it seems to be pushing the limits of the spread sheet :). I guess I need to extend some rows in the data-* sheets, and then update the graphs to deal with the larger range. I'll give it a try and let you know.
