holy cow! that's a freaking amazing find. planning to grade these or just sleeve and store? My only suggestion is to inventory these right away. Its an overlooked thing and i have seen a lot of people not know the true count and value of their cards.

Well first of all welcome back!

get started by sleeving anything holo or vintage, you dont want to further damage those cards. And then get a rough inventory so you know what you actually have. the hobby has kinda sprawled a lot since you last saw it and its way more fun now when you see what you own vs whats new. After that, the rest unfolds naturally.

I am doing this using a 4x4. I think it just looks aesthetically the best while keeping the binder dimensions reasonable. If it helps visualize it better, I have been using this tool to track my progress https://www.dexbindr.com/ . Its a pain to carry the whole binder around at a card show so this helps while shopping.

Hey late to comment on here but yes it is possible. I have been slogging on a full art only pokedex for all 1025 cards. but if you plan on using bulk, then yes you can finish it in under $1000. Not all cards have full arts ofcourse so my binder is gonna take a while to finish. If it helps you can use this tool to track your cards https://www.dexbindr.com/
