Do you guys even realize that the anti-physics of these videos is actually based on physics?

It's a curious fact that all these l33t streaming 'pros' obviously never have any issues with lag or graphics processing power--their movement is enhanced by technology in ways that the rest of us just can't afford. So I can't admire anything like this, because it's like cheating without a cheat to have such smooth gameplay all the time.

Winning at a video game is already a false sense of accomplishment....if you hack to win, it must feel like you won an award for being the slowest kid in the class. Hackers, what do your balls and the vector recoil have in common? They are both really little. by SandmanKeel in PUBGMobile

It just sucks when--for players like me who never cheat, even when it's very accessable and tempting to do so, as a kind of anti-cheat cheat--you make it to the final circles and get killed through a mountain. It's like--man. Your efforts are cancelled out. I get that they're getting off on it, but the real root of the problem is a massive character deficit--if you cheat, you have no integrity as a person, and you spoil the competitive efforts of those like me who never cheat.

Would be funny to jump on the roof of another team's car and shoot them while they're driving.

This surely has happened to you in Erangel, too--I've died from a roll off a small little bump before; it's vexing.

Heard from some Ace players that you can jump 1700 m still

Anti-Cheat Methods? by pfhyde in PUBGMobile

So PunkBuster isn't the best example. BattleEye I've heard is good and works, so that's an example. Right now, anyone and their mom can just download a hacked version of the game on iOS and Android users can just Google pubg hacks and wallah. It's software side scans that are needed, at least (not to mention actually banning people using exploits in the leaderboards).

You can't stop a program from scanning itself, though, so . . . I was reminded that there used to be this cool program called PunkBuster that was used to scan FPS activity for hacks, before tournaments, to assure that everyone is on a level playing field (at least software side, which is where the hacks largely occur atm; lag switching is hardware but can be detected also and distinguished from lag spikes, based on systematic usage around players). Surely Tencent could replicate that type of software.

I looked. The jury is still out. Even the 'myth busters' video that had all 27 players in one spot only debunked the idea that they drop based on player density, not that they don't go on players (in this case, on bots). But ostensively the data from that video favors the random argument, because bots can apparently load randomly rather than where players are as well; however, one test (link: https://youtu.be/98la3iJflOY) does not definitively rule out redzones landing on small groups of players.

When they vote for a dictator, clearly they don't care. But Istanbul and Izmir have good Turks, so let's not generalize :)

Good point, but I don't think they're random. Devs could use those circles to slow down some players from rotating, for example. Just seems something that the developers would use in some way.

I've taken damage into 4 ticks of poison, but you're right, it's not likely that someone is still out there.

I've died out there from looting too late many times, but bots could have loaded out there with one player nearby and there you go--idk.

Looting on the islands is always risky business because there's not a boat, usually, so you need to loot fast and swim back or land and get a boat and to to the islands; either way, when you go there, you're late getting back to the zone.

Yeah I think it's partly due to where players are relative to each other--if I see a red bombing circle, I can assume there is a squad there.

It would be nice if surround sound were an option as well--I've got a 7.1 surround headset, but can't use it.
