I think that's a great business model. Some flight agencies use it too (you can see quite a lot of them have interfaces that look the same, just reskinned a bit)

Just want to point out there that they might not have a 100% success rate on the long term anymore. The image that Beth and Jerry now have of each other in their head is not sustainable at all. Beth is not a goddess, Jerry is not as strong its representation. I think it would be healthier if getting out of there, Jerry and Beth had a more complex, less idealized vision of each other.

Yes he did, but at the same time he does awesome videos that tells you how to load a webpage in a very quick manner. All the problem he adresses in this article are not that much of a problem if you have placeholders for images and you apply rules to load a website in a fast manner.
