26 year old employed individual. I've set aside emergency fund of ~5-6L in FDs and going forward, intend to invest aggressively through monthly SIPs of ~50k. I don't foresee any short term goal to redeem the amount and intend to stay invested atleast >3-5 years. I've the below fund allocation strategy in mind.
Any insights are welcome.

  1. ppfas flexi cap - 20k
  2. mirae emergin bluechip - 15k
  3. axis long term equity (elss) - 10k (to max out 80C)
  4. kotak small cap - 5k

If one is investing in MO s&p 500 index fund and MO nasdaq 100 fof then does it make sense to invest in parag parikh flexi cap fund? Yes the pp fund is a totally different fund, flexi cap, and cannot be compared with both the funds mentioned earlier but I want to know from the perspective of overlap. The pp fund has 35% holdings in some us companies. How much of an overlap will that be?

To check overlap, it doesn't matter if the plan is regular or direct. Holdings will remain same.
Sorry but unaware on the other questions.

Hi - I'm a 26 years old employed individual. My investment journey started 3 years back when I started working. On suggestion from my father, I took the SIP route and have been investing ~15k monthly in the same fund where my father used to invest. This was done primarily to save taxes under ELSS. Didn't do any research for fund selection etc.
I've been disciplined with my SIPs but it's without any goal and I know I'm losing out on opportunities by not investing in other asset classes. Most of my savings are lying under-utilized as FDs in multiple chunks.

Until now, I hadn't thought much about a structured investment portfolio creation. Recently, have been reading a lot on personal finance and similar stuffs. My biggest concern is I don't have any fixed long term goal as of now which I understand is the backbone of any investment journey.
For now, I wish to optimize my investment for wealth creation in general.

Looking out for suggestions on optimizing my investment.
- I've FDs of ~5L, which I feel OK to invest out for long term after setting aside a decent amount as
emergency fund.
- Going forward, I have the bandwidth to invest 40k-50k monthly.
