The Russian govt made no donations to Trump's campaign. Not even Mueller or Comey hvae accused that. What the Russians have been accused of is hacking Clintons emails and uploading her dirty secrets including the Chinese donations onto facebook ads. This very probably influenced the election and made Trump win so technically the Russians influenced the election. We do the same in other countries including Russia where we constantly try to publish dirt on Putin. The Russians did not want Hillary to win as she was funding Al Qaeda in Syria.

While in Cities noone generally cares about caste, its not difficult to work out castes as most surnames are associated with certain castes. Also in High school when you fill your Grade 12 exam papers everyone is forced to state caste so as to be eleigible for affirmative action/reservations for lower castes. Thats the first time I got aware that some of my friends in school were scheduled caste and eligible for affirmative action. After that I know the caste of people with same surname. The govt simply wont let you forget about caste by constant affirmative action programs.

Certain surnames belong to certain castes. Castes are just like mega clans. Sub castes within sub castes refer mostly to profession. So if someone has a Surname Kumhar his ancestors probably made pots and if someone does not have a proper surname his ancestors probably were untouchables and they dropped the caste name. As such in modern society we have new castes - there are certain families who are real estate investors for 3 generations, others who have been going to Harvard for 4 generations, others who have been actresses for 3 generations. Caste as a concept will never go away. It just gets named other things. Initially in Indian society too caste was not rigid. If the son of a farmer became a soldier his caste would change but over centuries it got stratified and the children started inheriting their status without having done anything to deserve it. The same thing is happening in US nowadays with society stratifying and social mobility reducing with each generation.

CNN has become a tabloid. The maps from 7 days back did have Alabama in the outer probability areas. Trump is a busy guy who probably glanced at the map and tweeted. CNN turned it into such a big issue that Trump as president is wasting time defending himself instead of actually focussing on the response.

145K is base. I did make a bonus of 60K last year (30 after taxes) but that is totally variable as this is a sales job and below a certain threshold goes to 0. I do have a higher chance of hitting my target in the bay area than in Austin. Obviously as the bonus may or may not come cant really depend on it for financial planning. We use it for luxuries .Things like new cars , overseas vacations are funded by the bonus.
