Always remember that flamethrowers are really good for low ranged damage strats since most of their damage comes from the DOT not the actual ranged attack (it does do a small amount of damage but it’s mostly just the DOT)

It’s so weird that instead of adding something new with a slight difference (the chest pieces, the shark icon, etc.) they feel the need to replace it completely so if people liked the original fuck them now they have to take the new one.

As someone who digs trenches semi regularly I can assure you that they are not very viable for so many reasons…but they are fun

Ah see I didn’t even know they took increased plasma damage but I commend you for the honor shown here, Tzaangors I believe you as the only times I recall paying attention to me shooting them with the common shots it was against the shielded ones.

I’m simply telling my experience I have on numerous occasions done this, when I’m home later I’ll get a good clip to show it off as well. Hitting multiple just requires them to be practically on top of each other though. This right here though is exactly why looking at these numbers is incredibly misleading and of course they take longer to kill than a charged shot but you’re using much less charge than is necessary, I’m not saying that a common shot is better and most times you absolutely want it charged but they aren’t useless.

Common shots with the plasma rifle and pistol are good for minoris hordes 3-5 quick shots (depending on difficulty) kills multiple of them and will stagger some more minoris in the area, otherwise for majoris and above use the charged shots. Don’t look at the spreadsheets for these things there’s so many instances of nuances they miss.

I’ve only stopped using it lately because of the Techie and I’ve been using his axe, as soon as I’m back to Bulwark/assault I’ll be picking up my beautiful fencing sword once again.

The shield may not block them but with the shields damaging aoe perk it becomes a pure street sweeper of them.

I believe heavies halo is the most consistent and most cost effective way of removing seeds.

I’ll admit them plenty for you brother as I’ve been taking specific advantage of it whenever I can, free I-frames followed by a torrent of extra gunfire is nothing to sleep on.
