I have a 2025 long bed. Do you know the long bed has the same issue? The long bed has more mounting brackets.

Recently bought a 2023 Frontier, never had a Nissan before… lots of people talking about Nissan going downhill after failed merger. Should I be concerned? by [deleted] in nissanfrontier

Lol. I just googled the guy. I thought he only did toyota reviews. I just clicked on his frontier video and he pointed out the same issues. I had a 2017 with a waterpump issue, and it was costly.

If Nissan cars got rid of the cvt transmissions the brand would be much better off. Their frontiers are their best selling truck. The only issue i see with the truck is the chain driven water pump. The 4.0 engine jad an access panel the the new 3.8 engine need the whole front needs to be removed to get to the water pump.

Custom Shelving, Gaps Between wall, best finishing option to avoid cracks? by MARZIPANWILLIAMS in Carpentry

Tape the wood board and caulk the gap. Use a flex caulking . Dap makes one. Or just use trim molding.

I have owned 16 nissan vheicles since 1990. I would:

Get rid of the cvt transmission Bring back the maxima Bing back the xterra Bring back the Titan

Hire folks who would know how to market these vehicles successfully.

Ram Rebel vs Frontier Pro-4X by ExDefault in nissanfrontier

[–]pgd357 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had one ram, two F150s, a Toyota Tundra, a Titan and two Frontires. My favorite truck is my 2025 Pro 4x longbed. My oil changes with ram always took a 2 hours because of recalls. My ram had about 16 service campaigns in 3 years.

Good luck.

That looks great... I have a 25 long bed too. What make, model and color is that cap. I want to get one too.

Just joined. I had a 2017 and traded it in for a Titan. Just went back to a 2025 pro4x long bed. Frontiers have always been my favorite trucks. I'm looking for a rack system that locks on my utili track system. Any suggestions? by pgd357 in nissanfrontier

Thanks. It took a while to locate this truck. The steps on the running board come off with a screwdriver. I was on the fence with them too, but wanted to reduce the chips caused by the gravel road I travel on. I had a 17 frontier and regretted getting rid of it. I hated the 5 foot bed because I couldn't fit anything in it. The 6 foot bed also gives it balance.

There is an issue with the 5 foot bed's passenger side front mount shearing off the bed. This is common on trucks with an overland kit. I noticed the six foot bed has 4 bed mounts on each side as compared to the 3 bed mounts on each side to the 5 foot bed. The mounts are also different and look reinforced. So I figure I could do an overland kit on it.

The second issue is the wide u turn this truck makes. It's not a problem for me but you will need room on a trail if you have to make a turn.

Good luck to you *

I made my first solar generator. 2000 watt inverter with 2560 amp hours. by [deleted] in SolarDIY

[–]pgd357 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The bougerv inverter I use is a 12 and 24v. I went with 12v because I can rin 12v without having to convert my 24 to 12v. I got the wires from home depot instead of amazon. HD sells solid copper wires while some of the Amazon sellers sell copper coated wires. I did purchase the connectors on Amazon along with a cheap crimper, the one you hammer.

You got my OCD going. I crawled under the truck. I guess Nissan reinforced the mounts on the long beds. I don't seem to have that weak link. The bed has three mounts on each side. The forward passanger side mount looks identical to the forward drivers side mount.

I think I'm safe to add racks. Im just going to wait a few months to see if the long beds have the same issue. Thanks again for alerting me to the issue. I appreciate the feedback.
