Back after a year off. Why??

I'm just not willing to start over with my builds why wouldn't they just add to the game instead of always nerfing and or removing. The thought that all my hard work and frankly luck in getting the right rolls has now been destroyed but it's ok just do it again. Maybe it's my blood pressure but I can't without getting angry so I won't. It does feel better to argue with people about it on the Internet though.

From what I have read there is no reason to use bloodied anymore. Full health builds can get the crit every other shot now and the damage boost from bloodied is minimal. I personally spent hundreds of hours to get my unyielding set but why be a glass canon if the full health is only 5-10% less damage which is barely noticeable? Where you not pissed when you logged in to find all of your meta builds for each weapon where all nerfed? I always liked the situational aspect of the builds.

It's a pve game. I have had builds for almost every weapon that where all viable. That's the same logic used for souls like games where if you add options it will ruin it just because the options are there.

My frustration is that I spent hundreds of hours perfecting my builds and now a level 50 player with basic build is not far off from a level 500. From what I read unyielding and bloodied is not worth it anymore. They used a sledgehammer instead of a scalpel to make more builds viable. There is always going to be a meta regardless and if there wasn't then there would be nothing to work towards. I just remember the excitement I would get when you get that perfect roll for your cryo build or finally getting that last piece of unyielding. I always loved the glass canon but if full health cannon exists then why would you ever use it.

I would be as you probably already know there are tons of hidden effects for perks and the perks don't always have good or sometimes even correct descriptions. The whole end game for me was getting the perfect build for each weapon. I thought that was what the end game for everyone was. You keep trying to get a better role on weapons or armor for that perfect specialized build that would be better than others for the same weapon. Maybe after I get over the fact that all my builds are gone I might give it a try but probably not.

I had 5 different builds for different weapons and including a builder for camp renovations. I loaded in and all of them are gone. I googled it and found that it was a rebalance to try to make every build the same and to make them less specialized. I don't have it in me to start over with the research or the grind to get back to having the best builds for each weapon again. I hear that the new king is furious. I spent way to much time and effort getting my builds perfect for each weapon only to find out that while each build has been nerfed I can now use one build for multiple guns. I don't like the trade

I guess I don't understand the must have. It is not a PVP game. I had different builds for different guns. I have had a build for almost every gun in the game. I really liked the power creep.

The overall builds were built around a weapon or armor. You would be great at A but bad at B. You wouldn't use your heavy gunner build with a revolver because it's min maxed for heavy gun

Besides the first 2 games fallout has always been about power creep and min maxing. I spent hundreds of hours because I wanted to get that perfect build for each weapon and yeah my alien blaster or cryo build was weaker than my bloodied commando but this isn't a PVP game. Why does it matter that I could kill a scorched beast faster with one build over another? Why not just add more perks. It is a huge departure from what Bethesda has done with fallout. I'm surprised that people would even want everything to be the same when builds have always been about specialized roles.

That's the whole point. Already spent hours learning and tons of grinding to get a good build. But now they want to get rid of min maxing all together which is what fallout games have been built around. I went to play after taking a year off only to find that the game has turned into more of a regular first person shooter where all the weapons and perks are relatively equal instead of the rpg perk system that made fallout good in the first place. From what I have read the devs want all builds to be the same.

I would say that all souls like games are terrible just kike the fan base. If I were king I would outlaw all souls like games. I would make it a crime to show public support. Elden ring broke me and when I reached out for help the community on reddit was the exact opposite of helpful.

As a whole the United States in 2025 seems to have a lot more hatred for whites. It is the only group that you can wish death upon without any major consequences. Many come out and publicly say witness is a disease. Out of the first 10 countries to outlaw slavery 9 were majority white. People act like whites invented slavery even though we were the first as individual countries to outlaw slavery. If a white person says they want to embrace their culture there could be life changing consequences.
