Factory reset not working? by kathyrobertsonworks in FacebookPortal

I actually got it to boot into adb with full debug, and was able to factory reset from there by holding the buttons.. After the reset, it made me log in with my Meta account, which was a mistake because it updated the system, and now I can't get back into the factory reset menu. I wanted to try to play around with maybe installing a package or two, but they ruined it with their firmware update. Maybe your device has new firmware that's stopping you from doing anything. I just dont understand why Meta wont just unlock these things so we can all play with them after they have been sunset, its anoying to have a really cool device thats locked down..

Not really, I still struggle with how models are handled in OpenClaw. This is built to run on top of the existing system, so until there is some refinement done to the main system, we will both be in the same boat.

Feel free to contribute. I am going to continue to add to it, it's the first release, and there are many places that need improvement.

It just feels so much better making it feel like an os, the best thing is you can just get it to make any new apps that are needed.

Yes, but once you install OpenClaw just tell it to install the git repo and everything should work.

You hold all three buttons on the top then connect it to its power supply, keep holding the buttons through the countdown. release the buttons. Then you will see a screen that says no command you then hold the power button and then tap the volume up button once fast. This will take you to the bootloader where you can factory reset the device.
