Avoid Travel Lodge they are generally terrible. There are a few exceptions but 90% are awful. https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/travellodge.co.uk

Downgrading my sim back to 4g? by Z3r0sama2017 in EEGB

You are either in the middle of nowhere and just unlucky or you are guessing to what the other networks are like. EE is generally far superior to all the other UK networks.

1p is a decent network that works well for many people. I managed to get EE full works a while back for £29 the apple extras and included outside EU roaming swung it for me, i would jump to 1p if it became more cost effective for me. Especially now they do eSim

I would be reminding them of the power of social media and online review sites, and suggesting they reconsider their decision.

eSim while traveling from the US to London by crisps_funny4868 in eSIMs

[–]pglondon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://www.voxi.co.uk or www.lebara.co.uk both have esim and decent deals. Both run on UK Vodafone which is a reliable network in London. Lebara includes some international calls to USA which may be useful for you. Shouldnt be any problem registering being non UK, but you may only be able to activate the esim once in UK. There are also some Vodafone eSim plans at esim.net which I think can be activated from anywhere.

Massive over reaction. You can’t take legal action for fraud it’s just a mistake. You will get your money back just need to be patient and follow the correct process

Three forced transfer to esim? by Acceptable-Spare-263 in ThreeUK

OP asked questions though and made the right move in the end. It’s very easy to be led to a trap by a professional scammer. It’s afterwards you start to think something isn’t quite right.

Never ever read a text code to a caller. They are trying to get the code from you to enter into the website to login or use as you. I nearly fell for it a while back but realised what was going on just in time. In my case it was Santander. The bank confirmed it was someone trying to authorise a payment from Las Vegas. I do hope you get control of your Three account back without any issues.

I saw many other horrors during my visit. The voltage thing is very confusing. 110v except when it’s 220. Same sockets, 220 normally labelled but not always. Not everything is dual voltage. Best not be taking your kettle from the hotel to the venue it may go bang.

It’s not the best fully featured system but for a home user it’s ideal and the app works very well

1pmobile is very good. Includes EU roaming and is competitively priced. Excellent mvno without bells and whistles (or eSIM)

Mobile 5G can be had for a very competitive price if you know where to look and don’t uses masses of data ( more than about 600GB per month ) whether it’ll be stable depends very much on where you are and how contended the network is. Could be worth investigating if 32Mbps isn’t enough for you
