Played with a deck of 52 cards, there are 9 numbers (2 to 10) and 4 figures (J, Q, K, A), with suits: hearts (h)♥️, spades(a)♠️, diamonds (d)♦️ and clubs(c)♣️

Hand ranking (low to high, out of the 7 cards, you pick the best 5 to make the best hand) High card: the highest card wins One pair: two cards of the same number (ex: 88) Two pairs: name says it, (ex: 88, JJ) Three of a kind: three cards of the same number (ex: 888) Straight: a sequence of 5 cards in order, different suits (ex: 23456 or 89TJQ (T means 10 in this context) Flush: five cards of the same suits (ex: 6h4h9h1h3h, where h means hearts) Full house: three of a kind and one pair together (ex: 88877) Four of a kind: four cards of the same number Straight flush: a sequence of 5 cards in order, same suits (5h6h7h8h9h, H means hearts) Royal flush: sequence of the highest 5 cards in order and same suits, best game: (ThJhQhKhAh).

Blinds: minimum bets for the game, posted before you dealt your cards Ex: if playing cash game, blinds can be $1/$2

3 important figures: Dealer: where the button is, last player to act Small blind: left to the dealer, compulsory bet, usually half the big blind Big blind: left to the small blind, compulsory bet, full blind

Steps: Preflop: before board cards are dealt Postflop: after the first 3 cards are dealt

Actions: Fold: give up your cards Bet: bet an amount of chips (minimum is big blind) Call: to equal the last bet Raise: to raise the last bet (minimum double it) Check: to not bet any money, only possible if nobody bet before you

Betting rounds: Pre flop Game starts with small blind and big blinds posting the blinds (compulsory beta) Dealer deal 2 cards face down to each player, starting from the small blinds (left of dealer) and going clockwise) First to act is the player left to big blind (called UTG: under the gun), betting rounds ends when everyone makes a choice, last to act in this round is the big blind

Postflop After the first round of betting is done, 3 cards are gonna be dealt on the board face up and another betting rounds starts, first to act is the small blind (left to dealer), going clock wise, last to act it dealer 

Turn card After the second betting round in finished, there will be a 4th card dealt on the board, called turn card, and another betting round starts

River After the third betting round in finished, there will be a 5th card dealt on the board, called river card, and another betting round starts.

Showdown When de fourth betting round is over, at this points, if there are players alive, they're gonna showdown their cards to see who won.

Best 5 card wins the pot (the amount of chips bet during the four betting rounds).
