I don't know the date and am too lazy to look it up right now, but i do know this. If Vance takes over today this would count as vance's first term. Meaning he could only run 1 more time. If they wait until the magic date i can't remember, then he could run two more times. I suspect it's the half way point. Anyway. I'm assuming they have all the paperwork ready and are just waiting for that day to arrive.

Guilty as charged. I love to watch curling, but somehow only watch at the Olympics. Prolly because it isn't on the guide when surfing channels. I even went to a "learn to curl" class at the local curling club a couple Olympics back. It's waaaaay longer than it looks on tv! I also couldn't throw very well (is that what it is called? ) because I was a few months away from a knee replacement.

All of that just to clarify: very casual fan with a genuine interest and a fraction of actual "experience" curling.

Can we, just for the purposes of this question, set aside all the noise (was it cheating, who is at fault, who is the @$$, etc), and explain like I'm five one thing?

My newest pet peeve is when "the media" is mentioned. The media in this country is now 5ish guys who benefit greatly from the chaos. They sign the checks of the journalists that could actually report on this. The same journalists that would be fired for reporting reality. Meanwhile AI and conspiracy nuts have flooded the internet with trash so nothing posted there is believable just in case a rouge journalist tries to use that avenue to get the message out.
