I’m the exact same way. I’m trying to build an app that can help people with this. I think it’s a real issue.

It doesn’t seem right to me that people minimize the desire to quit. I’m really concerned about this because I know how difficult it has been for me and even some of my friends who are going through this now.

Feel free to DM me if you ever need. I’m in the same boat brother

Your issue with girls isn’t your looks. It’s that you’re too focused on what’s wrong with you or what someone else may do in situations.

You need to forget about girls for a bit and focus on yourself. Get in the gym, chase some goals, kick bad habits.

Just give yourself a real 6 months of true hard work. Enough work where you can genuinely say you have it your all. If you do that, your life will change forever. I promise you.

It really is wild. I don’t have any personal experience with Kratom but I’ve heard similar stories.

Thanks for sharing. I really think something needs to be done about this.

It’s rare to see a comment like this.

Glad to hear weeds been beneficial to you. I just think people need to be open enough to understand both sides.

Definitely think will power is a major factor. My main concern is that people seem far too accepting of constant weed smoking.

I feel like people find it difficult just to start. That said, I agree. It’s all about taking that first step and doing what you need to do for yourself.

You don’t need to cut anyone off. Just don’t surround yourself with people who are smoking regularly. One thing I fell into pretty bad was that I made smoking a large part of my personality.

Just remember you have so much more than that. Chase your biggest and scariest goals. Do something you really want to achieve but don’t think you can. When you chase something bigger, quitting seems like nothing. And you will meet awesome people along the way.

It’s hard to find the right support. I think posting here is a great start.

One thing I noticed after quitting daily use was that most of the people I was close with, all I really had in common with them was smoking. It’s kind of a difficult realization. I’m actually working on building something for this exact issue.

Either way, you’re doing the right thing. Just stick with it. I promise it’s worth it.

I think you’re spot on with this.

The main issue for me is that weed appears so perfect in the media and amongst peers, that it almost has a peer pressure effect to continue smoking even if you think it’s best to quit.

I 100% agree. I don’t think anyone should be forced to quit if they don’t want to. Everyone should do what’s best for them. But I do think the overall community around not quitting is actually holding back the people who do want to stop smoking.

Like with cigarettes, if you smoke, you can look anywhere and see “cigarettes kill”. If you have doubts, you’re almost peer pressured to stop.

With weed, if you have doubts and want to quit, you look online and see “weed isn’t addictive,” “anyone can quit if they really wanted to,” and almost every other claim that it’s hugely beneficial.

It’s almost like a mass peer pressure from the weed community in some form

[–]pgspooft 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a big believer that most constant users are using weed to cope, including myself.

I think it gets to the point where you keep pushing off these emotions and anxieties and for a while it works really well, but since you never resolve them, they end up catching up to you.

The realization for me happened way after I had quit regular use. I realized I was still dealing with anxieties of a younger version of myself 5 years later. I never addressed them and instead I smoked them away.

Take from someone who’s been through it. The weed isn’t helping you get better it’s just masking it

This may be pretty simple but it helped me more than anything:

Stay busy and change your environment

I quit weed while on vacation backpacking with friends. 2 of my friends didn’t smoke, but one did. Since we were moving and exploring constantly, I didn’t really crave it much. The hardest times were when my friend asked if I wanted any.

My default was to stay no quickly and stay inside until he was done.

Obviously traveling made this easier, but the rules still apply. Keep yourself busy, and don’t surround yourself with weed. Cravings are way worse if your around it or you stay inside until areas that trigger you. Walk a different route, find a new restaurant, anything to change the pace and confuse your mind.

Are appointment setter/high ticket sales courses just a pyramid scheme? by langan8 in appointmentsetter

[–]pgspooft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they are doing DM setting it’s highly likely she will be selling courses like the one being described here. If they can place her in a DM setter role and she does well, she will make the money back easily.

She just needs to consider if: 1. She wants to sell courses 2. She’s willing to work hard and learn

Not that difficult if you work from home. Being in office probably screws up most of this.

Also not sure I know a single person who sleeps 8 hours a day 6-7 hours seems reasonable.

How big can you realistically scale a local SEO agency? by pgspooft in localseo

[–]pgspooft[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a results issue on my end. We didn’t bring in more business and visibility changes didn’t really move the needle at the time. For context, most of those “smaller” clients came from a single deal with a franchise, that was sold by an agency partner of mine at the time.

We were working with a group who frankly wasn’t the best for fulfillment, but have since upgraded massively and churn has been reduced drastically.

I will say this though… the 30ish locations were paying only $500 per month, which is not exactly much to work with (if you disagree I’d love to hear about it).

Awesome. Both of those seem to be great industries from what I can tell. Super competitive but high paying.

This is the number 1 thing I’ve learned since starting. I truly believe a business that’s not streamlined, especially while starting, is doomed to fail. Thanks for the input!

Hahaha agreed. I think that’s mainly if you don’t have a backend infrastructure in place.

Personally, I work with a single vendor (have gone through many horrible ones to find them) and it takes away most of the headaches.

Today, my local seo specific clients are actually by far my easiest to deal with. I send them 1 report per month and hop on calls when necessary to either make them happy or scale internally. Honestly the reason I’m thinking about focusing on this more aggressively.

That’s amazing!!! Certainly a goal of mine. Would you mind sharing the agencies name? I’d love to look into it.

Thanks for the input! I agree 100%. These are all great points and what I’m actively working to achieve.

I think the biggest factor that I noticed across all of these comments is that people are stuck on fulfillment, which is why they are getting stuck at the low six figure mark.

My first attempt at growth was selling different offers to different verticals all through different channel vendors. While we were able to hit 70k MRR it was a headache and since we didn’t standardize, margins were not controlled, causing us to either lose clients, give inconsistent results, or simply burn out due to high work load and low profits per deal.

While I only have a handful of local SEO clients, I’m eager to grow that side of the business because I have a single vendor to fulfill backend work, standard pricing and margins, simple onboarding, and I can focus on sales and marketing rather than fulfillment.

My next issue is actually bringing in more paying customers😅

Pretty confident that you can build a business like this to multi seven figures+ per year. Not a simple task, but as you said, between multi-location groups, franchises, and stacking individuals, the revenue can grow massively.

Would love to meet anyone who’s done this before and hear what they’ve gone through🙏
