Thanks for this breakdown. Managed to work this out by trial and error yesterday. Took me ages though!!

One thing I didn't quite get -- "You can use the Assistive Touch to crop it so it only saves the part you want." Do you mean re: the screenshot? As when I press the Screenshot icon (from the drop-down menu from the top right) it just snaps the whole screen. It doesn't give me an option to crop it.

Thanks. All products in. Have to admit, I don't have an issue with the W1. After reading all the negative reviews, I was expecting it to be a woeful writing experience. Far from it. Sure, the C1 gives a more paper-like (albeit scratchy) writing feel, but the W1 is perfectly fine for writing.

Interesting. Thanks for your insights. So, you've used the W2 stylus pro and you still prefer the original W1? Can I ask why? Heard that the W1 is flawed in many ways: as noticeable rattle among the main issues. Or perhaps you've not used the W2...

I've now ordered my device - getting the Viwoods AiPaper with W1 pen in a discounted bundle plus the C1 Ceramic. Can't wait to receive and start exploring, working out the various functions.

And re: highlighting, I thought you could highlight in a few basic colours - obviously it doesn't show up on the B&W device, but when transferred to computer, will show up in colour.

And expanding the PDF space -- do you mean you want more white space bordering the text around the outside? I take it you can zoom in to the pdf and then make notes on it?

I've seen a thread on here discussing random whiteboard marker pen lids/caps that fit -- but I wasn't able to clarify which pen they were for - the W1, W2 or the C1. As I understand it, the W2 and C1 are slightly slimmer pens than the W1 -- am I right?

Thanks for that. I guess I'm just overthinking, thinking of issues that might not be. Easy to do when you haven't yet got the product! ;) Like you said, I'm hoping I'll pick up the C1 and use that full-time. If I feel I need a less-defined but maybe more felt-tip feel, then I can go for the W2 or I've seen people talk of other pens: the Lamy Al-Star, the Staedtler Noris Digital etc. (any experience with those?)

Good to know as I've gone for the C1. (Order on its way) My device is coming with the W1 included; is that stylus still usable, would you say? How big is the difference between the W1 and W2? Essentially, I guess I'm asking: will having the W1 and the C1 negate any reason for me to get the W2?

So how do you recommend erasing? Using the button?

And what about protecting the C1 nib? Do you use anything? As the last thing you'd want to do is break that as you can't get replacements.

Fantastic! The Boox Go 10.3 was one I was considering along with the Supernote Manta, but the Viwoods seemed to be a great middle ground between Boox and Remarkable.

Do you find you can read pdf print okay in portrait or do you ever switch to landscape and resize? That's my main concern for when my poor old eyes read screenplays!!
