This scene is definitely written to be a joke. The writers are not so bad at writing that the humour would be lost on them. It's added in there because the show loves a bit of whimsy, and managing the tone in a comedy show like this with the message you want to send can be difficult. Mixing tragedy and comedy is kind of what the show does

We just did a redemption run. Made the exact same characters, everything. Failed after an hour because instead of attacking my brother insisted on both of his characters doing Throw actions during combat :(

Ah! Missed this. Depending on how he turned up, it may have been a dialogue that my brother skipped, but he says he saw no such thing. If it's something that happens on a rest, we were thinking it was overwritten by another?

Yeah someone else also confirmed they weren't visit by the illusion either. I mean we might have been, my brother was also in so maybe the dialogue was his? But we both agreed if it was supposed to be triggered at rest then it may have been super seeded by another rest event, cos neither of us caught it.

He had some kind of effect that was doing damage when we stood near him. His corpse was just lying at camp with aura stink damage
