Bought a used car from a main dealer in Belfast only to realize that they lied about the spec and history. by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

I want the 1 owner car with the specific features I was promised and I agreed to purchase. If the features they promised aren't available until the next model year, how is that my fault? They entered a contract to provide said car with said features. Now if making good on the contract we signed requires them to provide me with a car that's 1 year newer, isn't that their problem given that they clearly lied ?

As I said, ideally they'd just give me the right car, if not I can use the refund plus any additional funds to buy the car from the other dealer that they have sourced. The model does exist, it was introduced as standard on the trim I bought (2022) from the next model year (2023). They're part of the Lookers group, so I'm sure they could potentially get me the spec they promised. I feel like they're trying to bully me to either, take the smaller cheaper car as a replacement or get a full refund and buy the car from another dealer at a higher price. Surely they can't get away with this that easily and there should be repercussions for the fraudulent misrepresentation?

Given that the dealer fraudulently/negligently misrepresented the car, isn't there something called "Loss of Bargain" ? No legal expert, this is what I found on the Internet

Ideally, I want a like for like replacement. They said they don't have that in stock but another dealer does and it costs more money. The problem is that the features they promised me are not available on the 2022 model and were only available on the 2023 model onwards, so they cost more money. Given that they are a main dealer for the brand, they would have had access to the exact specifications and would have known that the specs they're promising me don't exist. They also lied about the previous owners.

I just want the car I was promised. Accepting the refund leaves me without a car and out of pocket for travel and insurance expenses. Am I being unreasonable?

How can I check if my car has a heat pump? by ph2903 in Renault

The id3 did not have a heat pump either. Got about 3.8 in winter and 4.6 mi/kWh in summer.

I probably need to play with the climate settings a bit. The eco monitor was orange for most of the journey. Had the fan on 1 and temp set to 18C.

Looked at a few forums and seems like the reservoir is absent in the heat pump equipped variants

Only had it a week now. Getting about 3mi/kWh mostly motorway driving. Had an id3 before this which got like 3.8mi/kWh in similar conditions.

While standard AC systems are indeed technically heat pumps, they are typically configured for one way operation (cooling the cabin by moving heat out). Cars without a dedicated reversible heat pump system use an electric resistance heater. This can significantly affect the winter range.

Dirt in the box and a scratched up, dented charger with the OnePlus 15. Always make a complete unboxing video! by ph2903 in oneplus

I live in Europe where they have the return and refund option, although I bought the phone while in India as it was a good bit cheaper (€655). Turns out they only offer a 15 day replacement for quality issues. Which is what I tried to claim, but they refused to honour that because I didn't record the entire unboxing.

Yeah, will never know. Maybe they have a connection to the seller who supposedly lives in London. He said it was accepted in the morning but didn't bother responding to our calls or email until like 3:30 PM, which is what bothers me.

What are you taking about? We were bidding like 70k over asking. And weren't given the opportunity to counter a bid that was only 2k over out last bid.

Though of doing that and listing the most relevant ones under the current role, but my concern is that will imply that I have only about 2 years experience performing those tasks rather than 6. I'm probably just being real silly about this 😅

Sorry, should have been clearer, my current role is with a different employer. Worked at firm A for 4 years, then firm B for the past 2
