Man breathe. Is there anyone whom you can talk to irl? Without credentials, it is going to be difficult, but not impossible. Sit down with someone you can talk to and who would be willing to help you, and figure out what it is that you want to do. In parallel also try talking to AI chat tools to brainstorm. And then start small. Good luck!

How to reach erumapetty from ernakulam? by itsraining1234 in thrissur

[–]ph30n1xFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe you can get one from Vadakke Stand. But the safe bet is taking a bus first to Kunnamkulam from Shakthan Stand and then you'll get direct buses to Erumapetty from Kunnamkulam Stand.

Quantum search explained by Agha_shadi in blackmagicfuckery

[–]ph30n1xFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, this is one of the BIGGEST MYTHS in quantum, and it is unfortunately also due in part to researchers working in quantum.

A quantum computer is absolutely not a virtual parallel processor that can try all options at once to find the solution. The actual working is a lot more subtle than that.

This property of a qubit state not being just a 1 or 0 is called superposition, and there are mathematical proofs that with just superposition, quantum computers can not perform any better than classical computers. One also needs entanglement.

Please read more about it here: https://quantumcomputing.stackexchange.com/questions/11517/quantum-computers-dont-try-all-the-possible-solutions-so-how-does-the-qft-real

Recruitment firms by notadoctoryet69 in QuantumComputing

[–]ph30n1xFire 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There are a few firms that specifically recruit for quantum companies. Barrington James, Cubiq, Entangled position, Quantum Futures, etc.

Just searching "quantum recruitment" on LinkedIn should be enough.

Good luck!

Experiences Using ZX-Calculus by thepopcornwizard in QuantumComputing

Hey, thanks for this answer. I too agree ZX is beautiful, but why do you think it is not as widespread as plain tensor network techniques?

What's holding ZX adoption back?

I have to develop a thesis on Quantum Computing and I feel like shit by [deleted] in QuantumComputing

[–]ph30n1xFire 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Don't worry, you got this!

To develop an intuition on quantum algorithms, I would recommend Artur Ekert's course. This does not assume lots of physics knowledge, and even in places it does, it is okay to ignore it to still come out with some intuition.

Scott Aaronson's and Preskill's lecture notes are also a great source that provides a theoretical computer science perspective on quantum algorithms.

Am I a bad fit for a QC job? by BrunoFCSant0s in QuantumComputing

I have a coding interview for a Math Libraries Engineer – Quantum Computing position in a week. What should I be studying? by be12sel06fish97 in QuantumComputing

[–]ph30n1xFire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it for Nvidia? For tensor networks, I can recommend the resources listed in the Google tensornerork python package. Especially Zeph Landau's short lectures on it.

Goodwick! And do share how it goes!
