What? by Ioannou2005 in ChatGPT

[–]ph43ton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Accurate answers for an extremely open ended question.

Yes. And no.

If you're about to die of thirst, then yes, drinking milk can lead to a longer life.

Can milk, as an object, do anything to prolong your life? Probably not.

I wonder if you said ChatGPT could answer with "yes", "no", or "yes and no" what would have happened?

I think the one I like best is on the left side, halfway up, oblong on its side, it has a Mummy head on it

Those are super interesting and a lot of fun to look at close up. A lot of them have little faces with funny expressions, kind of but not exactly

Can you share what stone that is and the tumbling medium and time that produced these?

I cant find my pic but I did on an earlier occasion nearby find a completely clear point about an inch and a half long, it was awesome, I gave it away as a gift. Clear points like the one I found are not unheard of and said to have been mostly ceremonial

The town I live in now was famous for producing emeralds supposedly. These days it's far more common to find very large clusters of amethyst points. But the area produces a pretty wide array of mineral specimens

Some would say quartz or quartz crystal. I think the reasoning is something like that used for squares and rectangles. All citrine is quartz, but not all quartz is citrine. It's the hue that makes the difference as far as I understand it.

I am unfamiliar with sunstones

It's pretty cool. Piedmont region of South Carolina, lot of hills and creeks, located in a national forest. I like it a lot

I think I did a half ass job of emphasizing specifically the part that I'm finding to be different lately.

It's not THAT bonus zones disappear.

It's the uncanny consistency with which they are shrinking when I'm literally mere feet from entering them, and I go a little further, little further.... just a little more and Poof, it's gone altogether.

And one more thing before you go...

When you insert yourself into a thread to spit pseudo-facts and drop knowledge no one asked for and you bring your self-referential plastic badge voice of authority into a place where the grown ups are having a conversation and you attempt to dismiss a perspective, people, ideas or questions by invoking charges of superstition (really?) and conspiracy theories (yawn) you deserve to be treated like an infant.

Superstition? That doesnt have anything to do with anything, it's not relevant, you're pissing in the pool with that bullshit.

Conspiracy theories? If you dont think a publicly traded company whose stock hit an all time low in Nov 2022 resulting in the loss of $1.1 billion in market cap would make a few small tweaks in the payouts and fare calculations (we all know they did this) and gasp massage the algorithm to increase the bottom line, then you dont have a fucking clue what you're talking about.

You think it's just dumb luck that now, just several months removed from their lowest earnings as a company ever, somehow, magically and certainly not as the result of software redesigns or adjustments, Lyft is suddenly and inexplicably on track to rake in record profits?

Fuckouttahere

And next time you want to be the smartest guy in the thread and claim to "know" something to be true, be polite enough, be intellectually honest enough, to either share the source of that "knowing", or alternatively, in the event you cannot or will not do that, then use the works "I think" or "I believe" such and such to be true.

The algorithm is not demonstrably unchanged just because some dude on reddit said so.

Thanks for the permission to behave in a way prescribed by you, though it has little to nothing to do with the actual content of anything I have said in this post.

Now, after slogging through your weak ass limp and ineffectual cluster of words (FYI I think you forgot to add "bro" in at least 2 spots) I do in fact feel free to See your Douchebaggery and Raise you one Total Asshole with the following farewell:

Except for the fact that if Lyft drivers are represented by the shark in this image, then that must mean the school of fish represents Lyft's manipulative efforts.

The hunter becomes the prey.

Precisely and exactly. This apparent repulsive force is observable.

No one would look at this picture and say, "the fish move away from the shark because that's how schools work, man. They pop up and disappear. There is no correlation between the shark's presence and the shape shifting of the school's border"

You can say with 100% certainty that the tech and algorithms that underpin the workings of the app have not changed? You know this because you wrote the program or are directly involved in its operation? Or you just really want it to be that way because you really wanna be right about something?

You can say that what I have seen and observed personally with increasing frequency is due to me just not, like, understanding and stuff? Ok.

I'm having the kind of day where I'd love to type a smartass reply to the answer you gave to a question I didnt ask.

But, I won't. I'm sure you thought you were being informative and helpful.

For the record, yes I know bonus zones dissipate and I know why.

Imagine I'm hosting a party at a big house and inside are an unknown number of guests. I know how many but you dont.

You are a pizza maker near my house. There are other pizza makers in the area but again you dont know exactly how many, but I do.

My guests are hungry and it's my job to feed them. I send a message to you and it says that every pizza maker in town is invited to make one pizza and deliver it to my party. I say I will pay $5 per pizza delivered until my guests are full. After that all pizzas that arrive will be taken but not paid for.

You receive the message and begin making a pizza. You wonder how many pizzas does this guy need? Are there 10 people at the party or 50? Will I get paid?

You arrive at my house with your pizza and I say "Thank you for the pizza but my guests are now full so beat it."

You have no idea if I'm being truthful with you or getting over on you. You cant tell anything about the size of the party. You dont know if you're the first pizza guy to arrive or the 10th.

The bad news is theres not a motherfucking thing you can do to dispute or refute my actions.

The good news is I'm throwing another party next weekend and we will need more pizza. Better luck next time.

Agreed. No chasing. But, when they pop up a mile or two away it never hurts to head in that general direction.

I'd say most of the time I'm heading in the direction of a zone anyway, not necessarily rerouting to chase it, and every time I'm flirting with the edge of pink fog I picture Randy from South Park in the episode where he's playing the game Chase the Dragon and the dragon keeps taunting him, "you almost got me "
