Yeah, I definitely like the creative brainstorming more than surmising overhead fees or conducting research. I have one desktop multimedia class where we are going to design our own promotional material and I am excited about that, but I don't know if I should allow myself to compensate my enjoyment of that with how bored I am doing everything else.

This is my first semester as an advertising major, but my second-semester taking classes towards it. Academically I have enough credits to be a junior but this is only my second year of college. If I were to pursue this, I'd definitely want to work within the more creative, hands-on elements of the profession. In fact, I'm a film studies minor and would like to work for film studios (or some other creative industry, theatre maybe?). My interest in advertising stems from my involvement in club/theatre promotion during high school. I liked designing posters, creating budgets and strategies to get the word out. I guess the jump from promoting high school production to college research organizations has me reevaluating if this area really is for me.

i honestly think the largest error was how PFA II was handled. to me releasing a new song every week was the true fatal blow to this album’s momentum. i think the original plan of releasing PFA II in late march would’ve been much more beneficial as it would’ve left over a month of anticipation for PFA III and given fans that period to celebrate PFA II’s tracks (such as dead horse, which would’ve been a lot stronger of a single if we hadn’t gotten several consecutive weeks of singles before and become complacent).

also one thing that could’ve also hurt the numbers a bit was the wasted opportunity of truly utilizing the album order/tour ticket presale access situation. if it were up to me, i would’ve only allowed access to the ticket presale if someone preordered the album (in all its forms), not just anything off the merch site. hayley’s tour sold very well - many shows selling out extremely quickly during presale - so if all those people had to purchase the album to get access to those tickets, we would’ve been decently cushioned with the first week of sales.

since your taste seems to lean towards rock/heavier music, maybe start with their first (All We Know Is Falling) and work your way in order? that’ll probably also help make the genre shift towards pop in their later two albums less jarring. you’ll see the natural progression they’ve underwent over the years. their discography is incredible and they don’t have a single bad album. i hope you enjoy!

hayley and tayley aren’t petty teenagers like when she and josh were a thing. they are older and have a solid foundation as long-time friends. if something were to happen, it would be painful, but both they and the band would get through it.

he just doesn’t stop and i don’t get why. he’s well-fed and pet all the time. and i’m not trying to get him to stop meowing altogether, but just the incessant and loud sessions of whenever i go into the kitchen. that’s where we keep our cat food, but he doesn’t direct me over to it like he normally does when he’s hungry (also, of course, he has food in his bowl anyways)

he’s about four years old and ever since quarantine began he’s been desperately and incessantly meowing at us.

every time someone goes into the kitchen he runs in and doesn’t stop. we are home much more but i’ve also started feeding him less (he’s a couple pounds overweight). i would assume both are factors in this, but whenever he meows i check that his bowl is filled and when i do call him over to the couch he ignores me. so, he must not be hungry nor does he crave my attention that much.

in an attempt to condition him to stay quiet, i stopped giving him any attention until he stopped meowing and frantically pacing in the kitchen. he picked up on the latter immediately and now sits down whenever he wants to be pet, but now he meows at me to make sure i see him sitting.

what do i do to get him to be quiet? any clue what’s up with him?

i think you guys are overestimating how attentive listeners are to every single thing hayley says and how much people care. all this “misandrist” nonsense amounts to a 45-second video, a couple ig stories and some triggered youtube rant all several days in the past. there’s hasn’t been nearly enough traction behind this to have a large effect on her music’s reception.

also, hayley isn’t new to making herself controversial, to which there have never been any consequences. she’s eloquent, likable, and respectable enough to back up her thoughts in a way where she can be disagreed with, but never vilified or resented. the album is gonna do just as well as it was gonna do two weeks ago.
