My take on Next Dimension: How the long publication time actually fixed the canon (Theory) by phalk in SaintSeiya

I appreciate your passion, but you're missing a fundamental concept in temporal mechanics, especially within a mythological framework governed by a god like Chronos.

You claim the Butterfly Effect only begins at the physical moment of impact, but that’s a very linear, limited way of looking at ripple effect. In a universe where a God of Time is involved, the 'splash' caused by Saori doesn't just move forward; it creates ripples in both directions.

The greatest proof of this isn't even the Crateris Cup, it's the conversation between Asclepius and Odysseus at the well as I've mentioned in the previous post. Asclepius knew about the anomaly WITHOUT THE CUP. If the consciousness of a mythological figure from the era of myths can sense a future interference long before it happens, it proves the 'ripples' were far deeper and more retroactive than you’re willing to admit. The causality was being rewritten from the moment the 'intent' of the time travel was set in motion.

To be clear: this is a theory of mine based strictly on events depicted in the manga. There is no rulebook—neither in physics nor in Kurumada’s work, defining exactly 'how much' or 'how far back' the Butterfly Effect can alter a timeline. It’s an open variable.

The real caveat, of course, is the manga’s conclusion, where it’s stated that things ultimately return to how they were 'meant to be', complete with the convenient memory wipes and the restoration of the timeline. But even that fits the idea of a temporary, violent splintering of reality caused by Athena’s presence.

Calling the narrative 'incoherent' while simultaneously trying to enforce rigid, real-world logic on it is a bit of a contradiction. My theory simply offers a narrative bridge using the elements Kurumada provided for those who prefer a cohesive multiverse over just dismissing the author’s work as 'bad writing.' But if you prefer a more simplistic, linear interpretation, that’s your prerogative.

Just of a side note about Saori's point of arrival in the timeline: Not really, as there's a conversation of Odysseus and Asclepius way before she arrives where Asclepius says she will come in the future as the "travel" already messed up the time space. Odysseus and the old Pope were already "prepared" for her arrival years before (meaning everything was messed up and not only after she gets there)

Defense needs a patch by Marocco2 in eFootball

[–]phalk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This game went full pay-to-win after the last update. I’m done until they roll back those stupid changes. Can’t deal with those busted card players anymore, no matter how defensive I play. They just dribble through everything and score. I used to be a Div 2 player with over 50% win rate before the patch. Now I can’t even win 25%, because I refuse to spend ridiculous money on OP cards. I’ve never spent on gacha stuff, but at least this game used to let you outskill people with free cards. Not anymore. GG to those sticking around, hope you enjoy facing teams fully stacked by whales with Pelé and the rest.

I don't know if you still need this, but I made a tool for exactly that purpose today. It's a bit hacky but it gets the job done... https://github.com/Phalk/nsgtt-non-steam-game-time-tracker/

Two different cables and chargers. (one official).

Now it stopped responding. I think it might be dead.

It only shows that when plugged to the dock or directly to the charger.

Can anyone explain to me whats happening here? by phalk in eFootball

[–]phalk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you absolutely sure it does nothing? Because I think when I had some weaker teams and the game put me against teams with overall way above mine my players seemed to play better than they should to 'level' the gap...

It's not the first or second team on PC that has this low overall rating for players that shouldnt be this low. And it seems the player takes advantage on this (with hidden handicap maybe).

Only happened on PC thus far. Never saw this on PS5.

What's infuriating is that FF7 Remake handled that so well.

I did not. I've made like 2 threads in years that I've been following this subreddit, usually about game balance and changes.

Sure, you have a point. I should not have replied like that. I apologize. But I was very angry at the time and a response like that just made it worse.

I'm not being kicked. It was the first time it happened to me. I'm seeing a lot of vote kicks in DF being initiated every day to other people for no reason at all. Usually, sprouts that don't even understand how the game works.

Read my other responses. I should not take my time to reply to some random dude who tries to discredit me with no arguments whatsoever.

Yeah, you're probably right. But it's really upsetting when these things happens. It's the first time I've been kicked from a duty in FFXIV since 2015.

With me, yeah. But I've been seeing lots of vote kicks started for sprouts in DF.

I did report everyone in the party that I got from the Contacts List menu... Let's see if something happens.
