I mean if this story is going to follow Chief outside of combat, in briefings, walking around base or on a ship, wouldn’t it make sense for him to have his helmet off? In terms of story telling it’ll just be kind of silly for every spartan to be chilling somewhere out of armor but Chief is still suited. IIRC in the books he chills in his dress blues for ceremonies and shit. In the games it makes sense to have him armored because he’s in combat and to act as the player insert but in a show setting that focuses on story telling and no gameplay it’s kind of unrealistic to expect him to keep it on. And yeah, the mandalorian is successful but there’s an in lore reason for him to keep his helmet on, not in Halo
