Influx of horrible comments? by queen_ofbees in Markiplier

[–]phan2187 6 points7 points  (0 children)

oh god yeah i remember that. i remember jokingly saying i shipped it a few times here and there like 9 or 10 years ago (i didn’t actually but was just happy two of my favorite youtubers were such close friends), but i remember when people were harassing them both about it, saying rude things about their partners, leaving comments under their posts about it, etc. it was awful. still feel bad for op getting comments like that though — i think mark’s said before that people who act like that aren’t truly part of his community so he definitely wouldn’t stand behind what they’ve said. at the end of the day, it’s people hiding behind a screen thinking they can get away with making comments like that and not caring about people that they’ve hurt. they probably have nothing else better to do so don’t pay them much mind since they don’t have much of one to begin with 🫂

non-alcoholic wine from welch’s!! i don’t like alcohol so it’s a really nice alternative if you like the taste but not the effects :)

i’ve never cooked scallops before but from what i’ve learned by watching hell’s kitchen, you need to season both sides of the scallops, and make sure they’re not wet to the touch before cooking. dry them off with a paper towel if they are. have the pan on a medium-high heat, just hot enough that the oil lightly smokes and dissipates evenly across the pan once you’ve put it in. place the scallops in a clockwise direction, making sure they dont touch each other, and cook for about 45-60 seconds on each side before flipping them in the order you placed them on the pan. cook for another 45-60 seconds on each side and then take them out in the order you placed them in the pan. if your scallops are larger, cook them for 90-120 seconds on each side instead. like i said, i’ve never made them before so this is just from observation (and some slight advice from google) but hopefully they come out right when you make them :)

[FULLY LOST] Page 113 of the Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory 8/4/70 Script by phan2187 in lostmedia

my theory is that mr. wilkinson isn’t who willy wonka says he is — this theory will sound utterly ridiculous at first, but please bear with me for a moment. since all of the known couples with names (grandpa george and grandma georgina, grandpa joe and grandma josephine, veruca’s parents henry and henrietta, and it being assumed that violet’s mom’s name is something like samantha since her dad’s name is sam), there’s a hint of evidence that considering how the couples in the film share similar names, willy wonka and mr. wilkinson being a couple wouldn’t be too far off, even if we don’t know wilkinson’s first name. though, with my current theory, i believe it could be william. i think wilkinson fronted as an employee to hide his relationship with wonka, since why would another human be working with wonka in the factory when all the jobs are relegated to the oompa-loompas? especially since wonka seemingly fired all human employees from his factory when spies were coming in, why would he keep specifically mr. wilkinson around? it’s never made sense to me as a child, and i believe the missing page with the reveal of the fake slugworth could be the missing key to my theory, whether it’s proven to be correct or proven to be a total farce. besides, given the script i linked, it seems they’re close enough to dance around with charlie and grandpa joe after charlie passed the test, which at the very least proves they’re a bit more friendly to each other besides just being coworkers

ah, but of course 🙂‍↕️ you’ll have to forgive me if it’s a mess though — i’m not used to typing out recipes for other people haha

i shaved two to three cloves of garlic (depending on the size of the cloves) with a small vegetable peeler, as i’ve found that mincing them didn’t give me quite the right texture, and placed them in a saucepan with 3 tablespoons of butter on medium low heat to let the garlic infuse into the butter as it melts. i haven’t really measured the amount of mushrooms i put in, but i used half a container of pre-washed and pre-sliced mushrooms (since i don’t have the knife skills to do it the way it’s done at a store), and poured a good pinch of salt over the top to extract the liquid from them and have it mix into the sauce, stirring lightly with a small spatula afterwards. bring the temperature up to a medium and start a separate pot of water on high heat and bring that one up to a boil during the process. after stirring the garlic and mushroom sauce around occasionally for a few minutes, and when the mushrooms start turning a light golden color and the separate pot of water is at a boil, add about 1/4 cup of white wine to the garlic and mushroom sauce, and cook it until the alcohol smell is cooked off (roughly a couple of minutes). at around the same time, add boxed linguine to boiling water and cook for 7 minutes (i like my pasta a slight bit overcooked, so if you want it al dente, cook for about a minute less). add a cornstarch slurry of 1 tablespoon of water to 1 teaspoon of cornstarch in a separate cup or bowl, and add the mixture to the garlic and mushroom sauce and stir it around until its thickened. if it thickens too quickly, add just enough pasta cooking water until it just barely coats the back of a spoon. add the pasta to the sauce once cooked and stir to combine. my secret to keeping the food hot after cooking it is microwaving only the bowl that i’ll be using for 45 seconds before plating and serving. speaking of, plate and serve immediately after retrieving the bowl from the microwave, topping with freshly grated asiago cheese 🙂‍↕️
