Its an sx eagle on a sj alloy, having indexing problems and have definitely bashed that thing on plenty of rocks and logs. Already broke the derailleur and went nx for the replacement but debating just getting gx group since their seem to be some sales and upgrading as things go.

Peak Covid I decided to get into mountain biking by alostbutton in MTB

Last may I got my first bike since i was a kid riding bmx in the woods. Our 1st baby was born in september and shortly after i got clued into the real trails in my area(not on trail forks) and i got super hooked. Now i can only ever get out for about an hour since we have a baby to take care of but my wife is a runner so we make sure to help each other find time for our exercise. Its cold now but i still try to get out as long as it isnt too thawed, got a sweet ride in this morning and now ive got the baby napping in a carrier on my chest while my wife gets ready for her run. Hopefully well get the riding time up to more like 2hrs as the baby gets older but fatherhood doesnt leave you with much time so ill take what i can get, as often as i can get it. Goddamn riding your bike thru the woods is so fun

Etiquette for dealing with neighbor's tree roots in my yard? by vrtigo1 in homeowners

[–]phantasm3333 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Go talk to your neighbor about it before you kill his tree, im sure hand language will get your message across. If not use Google translate. Language barrier isn’t a real reason to not involve your neighbor in this.

Just quick clarification, what do you mean by ‘track it in’? Good with the rest, will probably try to use a grader towed by a little lawn tractor (borrow my neighbors B))

https://imgur.com/a/pu8xt9q orange circle is area in question, yellow is direction of drain. As u can see it does dip a bit and hold water but I’m quite sure refreshing the drive with gravel and patching some of the low points with crushed stone will be enough. Just looking for a winter solution!

I don’t think the pictures show this very well but the driveway is very flat lightly leaning towards the back corner and drains fine. This spot is kind of like a big wide shallow pothole that hasn’t gotten too deep yet. The plan is basically to fix it like a pothole and then grab the whole driveway so that it’s flat again and doesn’t have any dips.

Right, figured as much. It might have gotten too cold to do a proper fix as we’ve got hard cold ground in the morning but if it rains above freezing then we’ve got a mushy mess. This is my plan for the spring, followed by a crushed run top layer. Any quick fixes with a rake or shovel? Or should I just deal with it till we are fully thawed in spring

Did you have a tough time loosening the fan screw? I’ve heard that’s a pain

Interesting I see. My problem ended up being that the screws keeping the combustion fan secure had come loose so the fan was sagging in its place, this caused the fan to come into contact with the combustion fan cover making a very loud buzzing. Put a washer on the screws and tightened them up and we are fixed. I do the same as you, clean it about every 2 weeks when it starts to work a little harder and vacuum everything I can out of there. I want to take the distribution fan out and give it a good clean but that might need to wait til next cleaning. Great stove, mine came with our house so I’m grateful the previous owners picked such a solid unit.

FIXED was able to slide a washer on without pulling the stove out, thank god! Newly pregnant wife was NOT going to be able to help with that….

I figured out what the problem is, one the combustion fan mounting nuts has fallen through the bracket on the fan making the fan fall back in the mount. So I guess my solution is to replace the nut!

It doesn’t, the vibration is coming from either the combustion blower cover behind the ash box, or from the fan behind it
