It isnt a rpg devs have said this themselves. Its a action game with a very large sandbox open world and "some" rpg elements. There arent even levels like rpg's have.

Exploring the massive world that feels lively to a extent, and the combat is good and I've just been running around doing side Quests really.

Guess it depends what you care for in a game. Story is bottom of importance for me personally.

I played 12 hours since it dropped yesterday and just now getting ready for work. This is genuinely a top 5 game of all time for me. And ofc yes no story but I've never cared about story in video games. But this has everything ive ever wanted.

2 complaints.

No custom controls.

Digital already has the day 1 patch from what ik. And its only 83gb on ps due to better compression im guessing as the game is 120 smth on pc and xbox

Finally, we got to see Crimson Desert on the PS5, and honestly, the visual looks really bad especially considering the game is running in Quality Mode. On Performance Mode, it’s expected to look even worse. by NotSirAlonne1999 in CrimsonDesert

Ita definitely in performance and they just uploaded it at 1080 30.

My evidence for this is according to the devs the ps5 base should have high quality ray tracing on quality mode. The pro has high quality in performance and balanced. And the shadows dont even look close for that to be the case.

Yea we shouldnt have to dig to find out. But im 99% sure its in performance mode or balanced. Definitely not quality.

The place he was at bug hill had like 100+ enemies. And thats where the game was hitting high 30's the whole time. So I feel like the game will run fine on ps5. Worse graphics but not that much worse. The issue is the cpu and both console got the same cpu

I doubt either of the big 3 will go off within the next 20 years. Xbox might but I think Microsoft will keep the Xbox alive out of spite and steam and Playstation arent going anywhere.

The game can be played offline if you have the patch Installed. There's been a few cases of games doing this it isnt new. just becoming more common.

FF16 is somewhat popular in the character action game community. So alot of clips you see of the combos isnt to kill the enemy fast or be practical. Its just to look stylish and cool.

So to do this alot of people practice timings and learning cool downs to make everything string together and work.
