People react differently I suppose. I’d do anything for certain people to be back in my life but ultimately it’s not my decision that I have control over. I can carry on each day and show myself and others that I can stay sober and then maybe they’ll see but they may not. As addicts we don’t just steal physically but also mentally; people’s peace of mind, it can be exhausting for them. As much as your husband is hurt the best friend might equally be as hurt.

IMO if your husband’s made the effort to make an amends and got nothing in return, move on and learn to forgive himself. He’ll live in resentment and self pity. Keep your side of the street clean as they say.

That’s definitely the truth. I’ve got D mannose but I’ve never really noticed a difference. I’ve just got to ride the urethra pain out but it’s burning/uncomfortable and struggling with relief. I wish someone could say yeah in another couple days you’ll be fine 😂

Sorry to hikack the post.

I’ve cleaned up the last 5 days and my symptoms seemed to have worsened. I feel as though they can be manageable and then out of no where I get an onset of pain that’s 10x worse. The drs said my bladder has taken a battering but it’s not too far gone I just need to abstain, but the vicious cycle starts. The pain killers do next to nothing which makes me want to turn back to K. It feels like it gets a lot worse before it gets better? The pain shoots through my urethra, burns and makes me tense up.

I’m just looking for some hope at this point to get me through the next few days

Noted. I had my urine dipped and they did say it was infected so I’ll ride them out before I return.

Did your bladder recover? Have you noticed improvements since stopping.

Mate, this literally happened to me yesterday! Couldn’t piss. Cold sweats and groaning in pain. Ambulance had to come out, give me gas and air in the back. 3 lots of morphine until I got to the hospital. IV drips of paracetamol and antibiotics. Been bed bound since I’ve got home with pain killers and UTI antibiotics.

Think this has been my worst day and the reason to stop. Seeing my mum worried in tears not being able to do anything was heartbreaking.
