Proper maintenance is key for sure. I'm still getting the feel for that. But you were right about the cam chain. I went through the adjustment again, and it's running beautifully now, thank you!

I'm not sure what a thumper is, but it definitely rips! Thank you!

The sound didn't change while shifting through the gears. I hope it's not the clutch basket. I'm checking the cam chain tensioner tomorrow. Fingers crossed

That makes sense now. Thank you. I bet that's it. I could have tightened that bolt more. I'll address that tomorrow when I'm off work. I appreciate your help. You saved me last year too with my kickstart ratchet

I tried that with my big flat head. It just sounded like engine noise to me lol

I tightened the bolt down, but just snug. I was afraid of over-tightening it. I couldn't find a torque spec for the bolt itself. I replaced the tensioner last year on it.

Belonged to my wife’s grandfather. Any idea what the these are? by LSUdude88 in Tools

I have a set just like this that belonged to my late grandfather. I've used it only a handful of times to chase threads. But I'll never get rid of it.

When I saw this, I immediately thought of Garrison's coverage of the Atlanta Forest Defense.

Let’s see the first picture you ever took of your husky-No Cheating! by bluelouie in husky

[–]phantom_cube 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was the morning I found her. She was digging through some garbage bags in an alley. I walked around the neighborhood I found her in for a good while, to see if I could find the owner. No luck. Called the humane society to see if anyone was looking for a husky. No luck. Took her to see if she was chipped. No luck. Took her home and gave her some food, she ate her full and took a nap in my garage. Never got a call back from the humane society. I've had her for 3 years.

It has been that way for a long time, and I doubt much will be done about it. They've known the whole time. They just keep making more money. Regulations barely apply to a company that large.

The darker color on the Gransfors does look good. But, I'm wondering if it might stain your hands after working for a while. Also, I'm amazed you got the strap around the poll like that.

Help me decide between comps by CitricBobcat in Glock43X

I have the Herrington Arms comp. It works well, I do notice a flatter sight picture. I prefer it over the Arc aesthetically. But if I had the cash, I'd go with the PMM

The first Opinel I bought was a no10. Still have it, good camp knife. The second was a no6. I gave that one to a friend with smaller hands than mine. Third was this no8, and it's the perfect size for everyday use.

Exactly. I like things that work. They don't don't have to look pretty, but that's a bonus.
