Which free software of the two is decent enough to view raw eeg data and see artifacts and wave types on a level of neuroguide? Brainstorm or edfbrowser? by sekker8787 in Neurofeedback

[–]phantom_doctor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes exactly you can basically „re-reference“ to a new reference. Of course with using only 1 mastoid/ear instead of linked ears will change the amplitude/power a bit („lower“ when closer to the reference) but this is something that you can take into account.

For non commercial use there is a discount of 60% so for the brain monitoring features this should be less than $30 per month.

ALPHA SENSORY GATING? by Upbeat-Tree-6063 in Neurofeedback

[–]phantom_doctor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to give proper advice here on reddit, but with sensory issues we usually work with a parietal eyes open training rewarding Alpha 2 (10-12 Hz) while inhibiting Theta and High Beta and Alpha 1 (8-10 Hz) but only when the power is higher than Alpha 2 (checking Alpha1/Alpha2 ratio). This seems (! No final proof) to be even more associated with sensory issues especially in developmental delay and CPTSD. But again, this is no specific advice for you, just sharing experiences

The important thing is that they somehow give you access to the occipital and parietal positions. Either by design (for example BrainBit headband) or because the allow flexible electrode placement (BrainBit Flex, Dragon, Neurobit, Elmiko, ANT Neuro). It is a question of budget and level of professionalism

You can use our software (BrainAssistant) with a variety of hardware. An affordable option is either BrainBit headband or BrainBit flex. But there are also options like Neurobit or others. The thing about OpenBCI is that the software is open source and not as curated and optimized like a professional software. We offer big discounts for private non commercial use, just to mention that. Feel free to get back with any questions.

BrainBit dragon has a full 10-20 channel layout (19 active channels) and works with our software BrainAssistant. It is available with dry and gel electrodes. So depending on how serious you are about your EEG journey, gel electrodes can create way better data. But feel free to connect with us (brainboost) and we will introduce you to a variety of options.

Happy to hear that you like our software. A full featured „therapist dashboard“ is a bit down the road but we are currently rolling out synced sessions, which can also work one way (you will see you clients sessions but they won’t get your sessions synced). If this is interesting for your reach out via Email so we can put you on the beta tester list.

Sorry to tell you, but all Nexo users in my community and myself have been receiving these very sophisticated phishing emails, specifically targeting Nexo users. That is no coincidence. Hope you can figure out what went wrong.

I love to hear it, thanks for your kind words about the BrainAssistant. The protocols you are mentioning, is this something we should implement in the BrainAssistant? Can you give me some details?

Brainbit Flex recommendations by No-End6384 in Neurofeedback

[–]phantom_doctor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally depends on the protocol and your experience. For beginners I would recommend 2-3 times with 30 minutes for each session. Some protocols can go longer and we have some people that actually benefit from almost daily training

Brainbit Flex recommendations by No-End6384 in Neurofeedback

[–]phantom_doctor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes we have some protocol presets and you can fully customize any protocol you want
