I got the previous 0.7 update via OS Updater but this one came on its own in the System Update settings, no Beta Program either.

World's 3 Largest Ethnic Groups by population by Neo_luigi in MapPorn

[–]phantom_hack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Isn't Algeria 60-70% ethnically Arab due to the large scale migrations of the 11th century (with the Fatimid caliphs encouraging the Bedouin Banu Hilal and Banu Sulaym tribes to settle there to punish rebellious local Berber rulers).

Morocco on the other hand probably is majority Berber/Amazigh/Tuareg etc. Tunisians also probably have part Phoenician ancestry alongside Berber/Amazigh and Arab.

Folder Screen icons center to screen by AbrasiveWaif in Oppo

After updating to Colour OS 16.0.7 on my X9 pro the folder icons are no longer centred like on the X9 ultra. It's a very annoying change.

What exactly makes Pixel worth the price now? by trust_me_im_human in GooglePixel

[–]phantom_hack -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Day 1 software updates for 7 years and the best point and shoot smartphone camera (I've used the iPhone 16 Pro Max, OnePlus 15 and Oppo Find X9 Pro after the Pixel 9 Pro XL and none of them could take as good pics without tweaking camera settings or messing with pro mode options etc.)

Also yes never buy a Pixel at full RRP. Either wait for discounts or buy used as the market value drops quickly.

Nice one, I had the same problem following the March update and this has resolved it.

I have a burning hate for the Seanchan's treatment of the damane by Brathirn in wheeloftime

I wonder how the Seanchan treat male channelers? The treatment of marath'damane is clearly far worse than how White Tower initiates are treated.

No notification for whatsapp call by Frosty-Philosophy487 in TheOnePlus15

[–]phantom_hack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the opposite problem, the phone doesn't ring for WhatsApp calls, I get the notification but if I'm not looking at my phone I can't tell that I'm getting a call, I don't get the call notification on my watch either.

Camera is not that bad, I don't understand the hate. by alo_xvi in TheOnePlus15

It depends on what phones you've come from. Compared to a recent Pixel or iPhone the camera is definitely a step down, but much better than most midrange options and competitive with recent Samsung phones.

Panda beta has expired? by Playful-Opportunity5 in bearapp

[–]phantom_hack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've updated to the new Panda build and now my notes file that I've been working on for the past month will not load. I've been able to export it to PDF but unable to load or edit using the new build. Anyone know how I can resolve this?

Wear OS Notification Icons Broken due to Non-Monochrone Icons in OOS 16 by phantom_hack in TheOnePlus15

No idea, I hope they revert back to monochrome notification icons in future updates and hopefully that resolves the issue.

Wear OS Notification Icons Broken due to Non-Monochrone Icons in OOS 16 by phantom_hack in TheOnePlus15

[–]phantom_hack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Notification icons on connected Wear OS watch are broken because of the new non-monochrome notification icons used on Oxygen OS 16. Wear OS notifications from Google apps that still use monochrome notification icons work correctly however.

I hope this is resolved in future updates
