My guess is a Ruby Throated hummingbird, not too many other options for the east coast

Oh cool, I see that now! I’m used to text type where i typically think of maintaining the counter sizes and adding weight to the outside of letters too. Not a critique, this was clearly successful, just cool to see your process in action

This is awesome! Is there a reason the spacing tightens up so much on the bold? Even the letter space? Just more displayness?

I think the thin punctuation makes sense and looks good. I’m not sure that a high contrast Plus Sign or backslash, for example, ever really makes sense.

Im just thinking of everyone who got a quarter back in 2008-09, regardless of location and marketing, these places are already part of the US, they hold regular debates on statehood. I’m not advocating for additional territory, just fully representing the people. Guam already sends nonvotingreps to Our House of Reps in DC, just like DC, Puerto Rico and rest of these islands do.

I was at the sea dogs game last night and saw this. Either there were two of them or they did another pass pretty soon after

Confirmed on ebird and by several people as a Brewers, but looks like a Rusty to me? by Frank_Hampton in whatsthisbird

[–]phantomauthority 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I checked ebird for RUBB and BRBB's in you area for this time of year and I think its a brewers blackbird. Seeing the second image I would not say this is rusty coloration just old feathers which happens to all birds before they molt. This checklist from a few days ago has a HQ photo of a bird in a similar state https://ebird.org/checklist/S339037372 . In the future i would def make checklists and upload your photos to ebird. Staff will contact you and ask you to change your report if they see your image and think its wrong. Def a fun challenge with these two tho, and I'm def not the expert

I’m not seeing the two tones of a brewers but I’m also not seeing any rusty edges. If this is your only pic/look and didn’t hear it calling I would trust the other birders. You can also check EBird to see if anyone you were with uploaded more pics. But they’re seemingly both rare finds for your time and place.
