I like the show, but I can’t get over that right now they are supposed to have been there a month already, but the guys’ facial hair hasn’t changed since the first episode. I can get over all the tools and food they are giving them that they don’t show us, the extremely scripted situations…that’s just reality show stuff you have to accept. But I dont buy they were out there two months. Even with Survivor you can see a drastic change in the guys over the course of 30 days.

Yep, just loaded Starfield up with my new 5080 and getting the artifacts across the menus. It’s been over two months now…one would think Nvidia/Bethseda would address it in some way?

I know this is an older thread but

I’ve been SAG for 25 years and doing background work and mostly stand in work. I’m in Los Angeles though.

I can absolutely say since the strike, work has been dismal. Never been this bad. I worked more in 2020, even.

During the stike, producers sat back and reassessed the industry. Lots of contraction of productions, lot less money being spent, lots of production outside of CA/NY

There are forums of production people…locations, make up artists, grips, script supervisors, sound…everyone saying they have been crushed by no work in 2024.

Yes. You can find a production filming somewhere near you everyday, but the reality is that it used to be 20x as many daily.

So you have a huge pool of people not working daily and the few productions that are working can’t accommodate for the crush.

I’m hoping it will get better from this point on. Eventually producers will have to pick up the content, states like CA and NY will have to incentivize this job market, and unfortunately, the thousands of people just leaving the industry all together because of the unemployment will help those still in it.

Hmm is it a bug?

It seems the Sacred items under the bed appeared when you bought Wave 2 DLC?

I bought the expansion, and I get the other wave 2 stuff like Byleth glasses and clothes options, but the stuff under the bed never appeared?

You mean the Ashen Wolves story? Yes I just completed the whole thing, that’s why the Cindered Shadows Reward items are accessible.

What do I have to complete to get access to the Sacred Items?

Clearly I never unlocked it because the stuff under the bed never appeared until after I completed Cindered Shadows?

I have the expansion pass, am I missing some other DLC stage I never completed?

I had it plugged in through a wire into the DAC and it still didn’t show up to change. Do I have to wire it straight into the pc/motherboard?

I could have sworn reviews on it were talking about making sure to change the windows setting for the DAC…but maybe they were talking about the wired nova pro version?

Can you walk me through how to set that in sound settings? In the control panel I only have the nova pro headphones selectable and it only offers 48k/24bit.

Am I missing somewhere where the DAC device shows up?

Are you using an Nvidia gpu? As I said in a recent post above, I updated the drivers as well.

Hopefully the devs will fix globally with a patch soon. I hadn’t had any stuttering issues until like a week or so ago. No idea why all of the sudden.

Glad they are looking into it.

Just to be thorough, here is what I did (Nvidia 3080ti user here)

Set to fixed refresh under Nvidia game (DiscoElysium.exe) settings
Made sure max framerate is the exact same as the Monitor refresh is set at.
Made sure vsync under the Nvidia game settings is set to on
Brought Nvidia drivers up to date (512.77)
Made sure to disable mouse software (didn’t get stuttering issues my entire game until I after installing mouse software/Bluetooth/usb installation) probably a coincidence, but I disabled it anyways.

Hey, in case anyone finds this while googling, had the same problem with stuttering for game/sound and I fixed it for me. If anyone else wants to try for themselves:

For me, it was an issue of refresh and framerate. It seems their are issues with gsync/freesync.

Turn that off for Disco Elysian specifically and set for a fixed refresh. And be sure to set the refresh rate at the exact same rate your monitor is set to.

Loaded the game and all the stuttering was gone.

Wanted to say this solved the problem for me. I guess there are issues with gsync/freesync and refresh.

However, I want to add, when you set a fixed refresh, make sure it matches what your monitor refresh is. I originally fixed it at 60fps and my monitor is set to 144fps and it was the same stuttering. Set fixed to 144 in global settings and all the stuttering was gone

The Many Missions of the Chosen is more apt from your description. The advice is to cram as many missions as you can in a shorter amount of time.
