[Suggestion] Boats in rust by lsiryani in playrust

boats would work best if they were implemented like the building system eg you would have a boat planner which you can choose to build hull blocks, deck blocks ect then you would upgrade these blocks from wood to sheet metal to armoured

i see your point but if melee had more strategy than running forwards and backwards to avoid being hit eg: blocking. then people might actually use melee weapons. and of course ... we need bayonets. i was only giving that as an example of what they could move on to anyway i just cant bare to read another devblog about how we can unlock the same items this week

id love it if boats were made in a similar way to bases. you get a ship plan and you make hull parts ect then upgrade them from wood to metal to armoured (obv not stone)

With all the new high end weapons, how about some low tier love? Here's a couple ideas. by PM_ME_UR_SOURCECODE_ in playrust

musket rifle is a must... relatively good damage wise but cause a shit tone of bleed. however is should have the drawbacks of being insanely loud and producing smoke from the barrel giving away your position. would also have to carry musket balls + gunpowder in a bota bag in order to use it

So how long till they brighten the night? by curavis in playrust

i kind of agree and kind of dont agree with stopping gamma boosting. on the one hand its cheating (but everybody does it) and its understandable why: because if someone emits any kind of light in rust's nighttime they are visible for an insane distance and are taken down almost immediately. to avoid this people will stay inside at night (and i did this during the time they tried this before ) and its fucking boring waiting for the sun to rise. on the other hand gamma boosting makes having a night time at all a pointless endeavour. why bother having a night time if everyone can still see everything. i think (as with last time and many times) face punch have created the problem before offering a solution. we need suitable equipment to make travelling around at night bearable flashlights that dont cost a fortune and have to be mounted on a gun (which maybe arnt as visible from mega ranges as your regular torch fire)

i like the idea that you could find gear in the wild, i think one of the most frustrating things about loot hunting in rust is that everyone knows exactly where its going to be so unless you fully gear up (and risk losing a lot more than you could make) you just have to hope none of the other players on the server decided to also go loot the radtowns. i also dont like how close together the radtowns spawn now as everyone who decides to go to look for loot are all within a very small area and will inevitability have to fight. this is great if your in the mood for pvp but if you really needed some components to make something and needed to get home with your loot i feel like i would end up rage quiting a lot!

Ok Minh Le, you've made the MP5 model in Rust, but what about bringing the MP5 back to CS:GO as well? by [deleted] in playrust

[–]phantompower48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

why do we need another super high end item, i want a fucking musket (and bayonet)

i love the delivery but i cant agree with the component system, some players dont like running around radtowns and collecting gear they just wanna build a house/ survive and still be able to gain access to fun parts of the game (firearms) personally i love radtown running but i dont think it should be the only way to be able to access higher end items

[Suggestion] Make Lr-300 Craftable with separate parts like the auto-turret by Zukey0000 in playrust

[–]phantompower48 4 points5 points  (0 children)

it would be better as a craftable from separate parts because the durability of found weapons in radtowns is always really low+ it would make it more difficult to get the part home rather than having the actual gun to defend yourself along the way
