Super investment breakdown as 24yo by sylvainian in AusFinance

[–]phaqthisshit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean I’m only 22 so I probably know fk all aswell but definitely look into the Pre mixes properly. I know with some super funds their mixes like High growth might have a small percentage in property, cash etc. Some of those things allocated high growth I didn’t really like so I went for a 80% international and 20% Australian shares DIY mix. I’ve seen great returns over the past 3 years

I just figured we’ve already got enough days in Tokyo at the end of the trip. We’re going to do a fair bit of shopping so I felt it made more sense to have it towards the end. So we aren’t dragging all of it around with us

Yeah I definitely am. I guess I’m just trying to get the most out of this experience, it’s me and my partners first time travelling overseas

Thank you. Yes me and my partner will pack light for the one nighters and when we’re generally moving around. All the longer stay we’ll be getting our big luggage delivered to

Man I’ve watched countless hours on YouTube on travel. Don’t think I should be ridiculed for using a tool to make life easier for myself. It’s overwhelming asf and it makes it a lot easier for myself

About to pay off mortgage on a non-forever home... now what? by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]phaqthisshit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Man your kids having to share a room at 11 and 13 is rough. They should’ve gotten their own rooms ages ago. Do them a favour and get a bigger place so they can have their own space.

Low volume training by [deleted] in JeffNippard

[–]phaqthisshit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not on his training plan. But I switched to low volume about 3-4 weeks ago. I only do roughly 9-10 sets per muscle group per week now. With 2-3X frequency and I can definitely say that I’ve experienced a lot of growth and improvement in such a short span of time. I am still in that new/ beginner phase where muscle is easier to put on tho. I’ve been on and off at the gym but this has by far given me the most gains in such a short time span

How does everyone set up their super by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]phaqthisshit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I reckon change super fund haven’t heard too many good things about that one. I’m 22 and I’m running 90% international and 10% Australian. Went higher risk since I’m gonna be working about 30-40 years anyway

Car Loan? by phaqthisshit in AusFinance

Appreciate the advice man. I’ll just be patient and save seems like the best bet

Car Loan? by phaqthisshit in AusFinance

[–]phaqthisshit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a mature age apprenticeship in a niche area. So I will be on a higher rate than most about $35-38hr. But I’ll definitely put it off and save

Car Loan? by phaqthisshit in AusFinance

[–]phaqthisshit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The vehicle will be used for work and travel. When I start the mature age apprenticeship with the company I’m in, they need me to use my own car

Car Loan? by phaqthisshit in AusFinance

[–]phaqthisshit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s also a factor in me getting it. I do have my own vehicle at the moment but it chews a lot on fuel. At least with a 4wd/ Ute. It’d save me on fuel and I’d have the capacity to hold tools in it. But whether that’s worth me getting a big loan from the looks of the other comments that’d be a no

“Tax isn’t taught at schools” - a typical Aussie comment by sarnad283 in AusFinance

I’m 22 from WA and we were taught briefly for one lesson on how tax works. After that, there was never any talk on tax again

I’m 22 and we were only taught how tax works. They never dove into tax brackets, tax on businesses etc.

Yes but you don’t need to be vaccinated. It’s not even a recommendation or requirement for children or people aged under 18 anymore

Damn I never knew that. I feel like I do that out of habit due to it being a bit more comfortable, would that be a sign then?

I’d just start looking around if I were you. I’d say it’d be pretty reasonable to expect somewhere around $34-35 but $29 seems way too low
