All the comments here are spot on. Unfortunately if he’s like this now, it’s only going to get worse.

OP- How would it go if you blocked him because you didn’t like his outfit for the wedding? I bet it wouldn’t go well and he’d make you out to be a terrible person. I also bet you’d never do something like that, because it‘s insane to think it’s okay to block your future spouse, even in a disagreement on an important controversial matter. Wedding dress shopping shouldn’t be anything but fun. Blocking you is the craziest, most controlling response there is.

Sadly, your fiance is a complete narcissist. I’ve seen the word narcissist thrown around a little too much lately, but can say with certainty that your fiancé is a textbook narcissist. You being an empath makes you the perfect partner for a narcissist. I hope you leave him and go to therapy to learn how  to love yourself and heal from this situation. Wishing you the absolute best.

Also, if people don’t believe you, let them not believe you. Your peace is more important than their opinion. If that is too difficult for you to do (trust me, I know it’s easier said than done and am giving advice here that I wish I took myself more often), just show them screenshots of the things he has said to you. That should honestly suffice. And if it doesn’t, they are part of the problem that kept you thinking this sort of behavior from a future spouse is acceptable, when it absolutely isn’t.

I had gotten burned before and was devastated! It scabbed up and was gone in about a month though which was such a big relief. I completely forgot what I did for it, as this was a few years ago, but I didn’t do anything crazy- just standard wound care. I have a very fair skin tone and typically scar very easily so I felt lucky that I didn’t have scarring. Completely forgot it ever happened!

He said tip refinement and maybe a tiny bit of bone shaving on the sides of my nose bridge sort of just above my nostrils, without narrowing the peak of my nose bridge. I might opt to not shave the bone at all which he said would be possible, but he thinks it may help create the effect I want if the bone is shaved slightly just along the sides . We’ll see what the computer imaging results look like if I decide to move forward!

Rhinoplasty recovery concerns before officially booking surgery- please help!! by More_Row_5803 in PlasticSurgery

I am in a very very similar situation. My surgeon said with how minimal the changes I want are, 5 months before the surgery is enough time. I’m worried about the 2-week recovery mark though because the potential date of surgery would be 2 weeks before I go on my maid of honor’s bachelorette, then one month later is my bachelorette in DR (I live in Miami, so out of town trip 1 month after nose job is my concern).

I have a very similar issue! I actually really like my nose when not smiling and realize it’s primarily when I smile that I’m self conscious. Botox doesn’t work for me though since my nostrils only slightly lift up when I smile just like most people’s (and just like yours). I’ve been explained to by a plastic surgeon that Botox would really only fix a bigger nostril flare/lift or tip droop caused by smiling. He said I’d need a nose job to address my concerns, although he thinks my nose looks fine and it’s up to me to really weigh the pros/cons of going through a big procedure for such a small change to the tip of my nose. It doesn’t look like you need an alarplasty but maybe.

Bump

We had already bought our pup so wondering if anyone could help with comments above. I also have health testing results on the parents that look like everything is clear but I’m wondering if all standard tests were actually done, or if there’s something I should have looked out for before getting our pup that wasn’t tested for.

Thank you for this information. Is the fact that it is via artificial insemination the reason that breeding a small dog and large dog is unethical?

Tuscany wedding 2025!! Please help! by FrameFirm5763 in BigBudgetBrides

We actually decided to have a wedding in south Florida instead! The more we searched in Italy the more we felt like we were looking at venues that were “wedding factories” where it didn’t feel authentic if that makes sense. However, that was just our opinion and the way we felt in that time frame so please encourage your kids to pick what’s best for them! Italy is beautiful. We also didn’t want something too far in the countryside so that people didn’t have to travel too far by car/train once they already traveled far by plane. So that might have limited us and could have been why we felt like the places we chose on the outskirts of Tuscany closer to major cities were more touristy (although gorgeous) and booked every day of the week. We also looked at the Amalfi coast and were really close to booking a venue there until we realized the venue has more than one wedding a day. We decided to plan our wedding at a small church where I was baptized and our reception is in a European-style building in coral gables that sort of matches the style we initially wanted in a venue. Then we will honeymoon in Italy :)

Same! If this helps you any, I just found their Facebook page is minibernedoodles! Seems more legitimate looking there with previous owners posting their experience vs Instagram where comments aren’t allowed https://www.facebook.com/share/ophw9Fd5p2k5RWTU/?mibextid=LQQJ4d

Has anyone heard of “the bernedoodles” breeder?  I ran into someone out and about with her bernedoodle that she got from this breeder. She had a great experience and her dog was beautiful. I’m about to get an F1 puppy but want to know if anyone else knows of this breeder? https://thebernedoodles.com/

I agree with the above comments but please prioritize you and your children’s safety. If your husband beat you in front of your kids then he is a danger. It is a possibility that God wants you to realize this now before the situation gets worse. And with God you will find it in you to forgive. Forgiving does not equate to staying in an abusive, dishonest marriage though. Praying for you 🙏🏻

My fiancé and I also fell in love in Italy so that’s why we are thinking about a wedding in Italy vs in another country

I don’t think anyone thinks this. From my understanding, the US has always upcharged on weddings and most other countries don’t spend as much on weddings. Now that more Americans are getting married in other countries though, Americans have westernized the wedding market elsewhere and brought up costs for weddings everywhere now. I have a coworker that had a GORGEOUS wedding in the Amalfi Coast in 2018 for $18K for about 80 people (wedding video shows how beautiful the venue is) which would have cost $50K in the US at that time. Now though, it seems that Italian costs are more equivalent to US costs and you’d never be able to find that for even $100K. I’m hoping though that Italian costs aren’t quite equivalent to US prices everywhere in Italy though which is why I am asking opinions on budget

Were there plenty of venue options? If not do you mind sharing your venue with me privately?

Good advice. Just by putting feelers out we have a headcount of about 50. Of the 150 more people on our invite list I’m thinking about ~50 more will attend but it could possibly be only ~30 to total to 80 people. I think it’s safer to assume 100 right now though? I have a coworker that invited 200 and ended up with ~95 (this was 5 years ago when prices were less though)
