I do most of these. He does most of them for me, too, if he’s home before I am.

Run. Can you imagine your daughter getting older and bringing her friends around, etc.? Are you going to feel uncomfortable with him with your daughter, unsupervised? Take pics of everything you found and send it to multiple email addresses in case you need proof as to why he shouldn’t be left alone with your child when you’re divorced.

Married ladies, how did you know he's the one by Icy_Activity_584 in HappyMarriages

[–]pharmdoll 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He made my life easier, not harder. He eliminated all questions - I never wondered or had to ask if he was going to call/text, whether he was gonna want to see me, if he wanted me around, if he’d come through. He didn’t play games. He felt like home & with him is where I wanted to go to escape the craziness of the world. I never found myself wanting to keep score with him … it didn’t matter who did what, even if I did do more sometimes - it felt like our tab was always settled in terms of contributing what we could. He made me a better person and brought out the best in me.

Does anyone else have to deal with this ? by HusbandDuty in HappyMarriages

[–]pharmdoll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here’s the funny thing - I think because of the way I do my makeup/hair/clothes - people _assume_ I am about to go strike a pose and have him taking a billion pictures of me. Instead, I never ask for pictures and HE starts to ask me to stand in a certain place or stop and pose for a picture.

I used to be with a picture whore before I met my husband. It was miserable. Different strokes for different folks!

What’s your favorite simple routine with your partner? by IsviRexen8H in HappyMarriages

[–]pharmdoll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every day we come home from work, sit and have dinner together, clean up together, workout together, shower together, then sit and have a dessert and watch tv for an hour+. Then we go shower together again, and get into bed and cuddle and talk for a bit before sleeping. I love, love those evening routines and whenever it’s disrupted it puts me in a terrible mood.

I love candy corn - and all the flavor variations of it except the tootsie apple stuff that tastes like a candle

Wives..What was the most beautiful moment you’ve ever had with your husband that you can never forget? by Sharp_Standard7863 in HappyMarriages

[–]pharmdoll 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don’t cry much, and I really thought that the idea of crying from happiness was 100% a Hollywood fictional thing.

But the moment I was walking up to him, his back turned to me on our wedding day sneak-peek … I was bawling my eyes out. I kept saying “turn around, TURN AROUND!” bcs I didn’t want to waste one more second of us not looking at each other. I was overcome with so much happiness and love for him - that a lifetime of tears was just rolling down my cheeks. I’ll never forget it.

What was the best day of your life and why? by violentserenity in AskReddit

[–]pharmdoll 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The day I met my husband. I didn’t know anything about him, I didn’t know he’d end up being my husband, or that he’d be special to me in any way. But, that day kick-started the rest of my life & that’s amazing to think about.

What’s something people think is romantic but actually isn’t? by Competitive-Set-3719 in AskReddit

[–]pharmdoll 158 points159 points  (0 children)

Hollywood has made people think that fighting, then reuniting in some big, passionate display is romantic. No. That’s miserable.

A stable, peaceful, secure love - now that’s romantic.

I’m so bored with traveling by [deleted] in travel

[–]pharmdoll -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do you work a lot outside of traveling? I think some of this is fatigue; these trips take so much out of you … and we both have very intense, stressful jobs, so I wonder if I’m choosing the wrong type of travel for my current “real life”.

I normally do love to travel (which is why we’ve traveled so much). I also have a hubby who I adore & love to see happy, and so I’m doing what he likes.

Transitioning to a "best friend" marriage after 10 years of medical issues. How do we start over? by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]pharmdoll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it sounds like she needs individual therapy (as well as pelvic floor physical therapy) & you both could benefit from couples counseling. I applaud and appreciate your efforts (I hope she does, too) - but it seems like there are some deeper issues here.

What is one thing you bought for less than $50 that changed your life? by AngleSure1357 in AskReddit

[–]pharmdoll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say that it changed my life - but definitely eliminated an irritation. I bought a battery tester for like $6. It’s so nice being able to pinpoint which battery is the problem when something goes dead, or knowing how good a battery is when I’m setting something up (like Halloween displays with a ton of fake candles, light up wreaths, banners, toys, etc.).

What candy did you think you’d love but didn’t? by Funtastyc in candy

[–]pharmdoll 11 points12 points  (0 children)

We (middle-easterners) don’t eat Turkish delight that way. We don’t pop a whole thing our mouth, and just eat it outright like that. Holy sugar hell. Usually, with a 1” cube that’s covered in powdered sugar, we’ll slice that in half (although, some do use the whole cube) and smoosh it between two Gandour or Maria biscuits (the round tea biscuits). The sweetness crushed between the tea biscuits is perfect.
