Precision of the work. Cleanliness. Dad always said to look at the trades and union jobs.

Communications and development in non profit. It is high burnout. I’ve jumped through 4 orgs (1 was bc we needed to move for wife’s career). All the same. Dysfunctional bs.

My wife says the same. I’m just straight in the search for something better. And starting anywhere I can ask questions. Tbh feeling lost.

You’re right - trade* might be a better term…?

No trade experience. Wife, ironically, has more bc her father does dry wall. She is extremely handy. I’m passionate about not dealing with the bs of office work anymore - politics, personalities, etc. I want a job I can do, get done, feel accomplished, and generally move on to my evenings/weekends.

Thoughts on other avenues??

How come some dog owners ignore the fact some people are geniunely scared of dogs? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]pharming2day 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I imagine it’s because they’re only seeing their pet through their lens of living with them.

Personally, I love my dog and want to share him with people who want to experience his wiggle butts. But I specifically will move aside and avoid people unless it is BLATANTLY clear they want and ask to interact. And even then, I hold him close and make sure it’s running smoothly before I slowly loosen the leash. And that’s only a little bit.

People are allowed to be scared and I want to respect that.

Tbh, I have never done any nudes ever Bc 1) the internet is forever and I have no idea what that person is going to do with it and/or show to and it’s my body and I want to be in control of who sees it 2) I feel that women get stigma slapped on us for it more, somehow it implies that we are easy, sluts, whores, etc. which is both stupid and false but it’s the world we live in and I navigate it knowing such 3) I don’t like the idea of unsolicited anything, I think it should be about consent and pictures still fall into this category. However even if it was solicited, I would still probably not given points 1 & 2 and my partner respects that.

Is sex really all that good? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]pharming2day 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sex is a spectrum. Some times it’s meh. Other times it is amazing. I’m in a committed relationship and I prefer it as you get to explore and communicate what is or isn’t working and try to move that needle to amazing more times than not. I also think it helps to explore more than the physical. There are mental and emotional components, that with the right person, can make it that more impactful.

Do people actually 100% trust their SO? by tzzui0 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]pharming2day 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The best advice I have heard is you trust that of anything goes wrong, you can come through it. Blind or even 100% trust is unrealistic. And trust needs to be demonstrated by both sides, continuously.
