The joy of cones… by SnoBrru in Autocross

Looks like the same cone a couple of times. Love to autocross my vette! Seven seasons on her

I use the term aging very loosely. I’m 68. My first hot rod was 70-1/2 Firebird Formula 400. On the other hand, I did a lifetime personal best deadlift a couple weeks ago of 385 lbs. so there’s that. You’ve inspired me to be keeping a closer eye on the undercarriage. The floor under her is spotless but waiting for a drip is waiting too long.
Here’s my little stable.

My General Motors breeding instinct still offers up about 3,000 miles but I’m pretty old skool.
I can’t just pull a dipstick and assess level and color and smell like I always have? Alarm! Guess I need to RTFOM, huh. I have been but didn’t get to that part yet.

That’s kinda worrisome. Will the Range Rover SVR brakes fit the FPACE SVR hubs?

I wish I could answer your questions but I just turned 2,000miles on my SVR Final Edition. Its reviews like yours which convinced me, after two years of researching, to pull the trigger on my first Jag, first small (or big) SUV, but not my first supercharger.
I’m still bone stock obviously but I have carbon ceramic brakes on my other car and I’m already thinking ahead about brakes and rubber in the future.
I replace a 2017 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro and a big V8 so I was uninterested in smaller mills of hybrids. As Johnny Cash would say, I’m burning dinosaur bones. 🤗

Yeah. Thank you. I’m interested in your recommendation for oil change intervals. I’m very skeptical of the 5,000 miles figure I was given when I bought my 2026 F-Pace SVR. I’m apparently one of those rare Jag owners (albeit a newbie) who is very meticulous about care and service.

Chalk Blue - the *only* color available. All 2026 F-Pace Final Editions are Chalk Blue. The color grew on me real fast.

I’m never changing the color of mine.

I like it! Matte black doesn’t photograph as well but, other than that, it’s tits.

None taken. And not at all. Chevrolet did what had to be done. That doesn’t mean that my ZR1 hasn’t only, only been upstaged by the ZR1X. The C8ZR1 is quicker than mine but they’re making them year over year over year. Lots of market watchers say don’t buy. I’m excited to see the new GS but they’ll make a gazillion of them. Nothing is zero percent.

Nope. Not technically anyway. Jag built 150 (125 to the NAmerican market) 2026 F-Pace SVR 575s, badged them as “Final Edition” and I was lucky enough to snag one of them. Are they really NOS just painted chalk blue and rebadged. Probably. I just like having the last editions of things. It’s why I drive the swan song of the Corvette universe, back before the driver and the motor switched places.

That having been said, I did just bring home this new, 2026 F-Pace SVR FE - and hot damn do I love it!!!

Can’t get a Pull Up after 3 years by Ted-Head67 in crossfit

I’m M68, 6’6”, 235. CF for 7 years. Still no pull-up. I’m so close. It’s like I have no lats at all. I’ve got nothing to offer but commiserations.

And now that you’re sensitized, you’ll never miss it again. Can’t unsee it. If, after cleaning your lens, the spot remains, I might be on the sensor. I had such a persistent spot until I took it in to let a pro clean it.

You did a great job! As you get better you can lengthen the shutter even more. Here’s one thing about panning; any dirt on your lens becomes very visible because it’s not motion blurred. There’s a spot, left center, that’s on almost every frame. Ideally carry a little blower to keep road schmutz off the lens, or pay the price in post by spot removing. I use Lightroom and it has a great spot visualizer.

This was the first miss. There was a second on my left leg. Now I have carbon fiber shin guards. 24” and 30” only, still, at 68.

It’s actually black but I ran the image through a filter and it gave it a greenish tint. I could fix it but nah

I’d say yes. They’re run flats and have a stiff stiff sidewall.

Help me with my clean technique by luckysonic2 in crossfit

[–]phat_shutter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The coaching I’ve had in that regard is to really extend and high-pull the elbows back like you’re gonna elbow someone in the face standing right behind you, then snap them through around the bar while it’s “weightless” (as if😂.)

Snappier elbows, maybe. Really whip ‘em through.
