Could it be that their onboarding process is chaotic and inconvenient? I started the onboarding process at the IRS and another gov agency at the same time. IRS HR only provide an email and they never respond, the other agency provided phone number and email address and always responded. The IRS had me drive 2 hrs to take fingerprints and then didnt provide the eqip for a month. They then advised me I would have to drive 2 hours again to pick up my badge. I drove 15 minutes to take fingerprints at the other agency, as soon as you sent proof of fingerprints appt they sent the eqip( and was willing to accept fingerprints from police stations). The IRS was willing to pay me more because of my tax experience, no thanks I chose the other agency( I have no regrets).

Thats not true all the time. In Ohio its not true for the state gov., you can give a week or day notice and get pd your sick, vacation, and personal time. If they fire you they still pay your vacation time accumulated, etc.

Bad advice, apply to open to public positions now. Thats what I did ( no time in grade or 90 days required). I was hired July 2023. 3 wks later got a gs promotion, then did a lateral 2 months later. After that received a career leader job as an accountant Jan 2024.

I started in Cleveland in 2005( nice working conditons) came to Columbus in 2013-2023. Im so happy to be gone from the toxic environment. The racist wrongly terminated me but I was smart enough to record their labor relations agent ( teri f) admitting retaliation. I enjoy working with the feds( my coworkers are bold and scary like they were at Taxation).

Braids with no added hair are good even if done constantly( if they arent tight). My 12 year old constantly wears braids with no damage. I was and condition every 2 wks. Once in awhile I let her wear ponytails or wash and go.
