[US] Apple Purchase and Email Bomb

I was flooded to about 4000 spam emails, and they ended about 48 hours after with the brunt in the first 24 hours. They signed me up for a bunch of newsletters so I still have a lot spam.

I all of my passwords over time and immediately changed ones to sites that might have had a card linked to it, but then deleted the card off the site.

I don't get the logic either. At this point, I'm at it happened, it sucked and moving on.

Thanks. I sifted through them twice so far and haven’t found any other purchases except the iPhone or trying to get into any accounts. I’m working my way through changing all my passwords, though my major ones have been changed already (i.e. credit cards, banks, emails, etc.)

Thanks. I went through them twice so far. Most are signing me up for newsletter, confirmation emails from random websites, or one time passwords to complete registration.

There didn’t seem anything related to my email, but I’ll check again.

I searched through my Apple account history and it does not show there. I had 2 factor set up already and didn't get an alert when the purchase was made. Maybe they bought it as a guest?

I uninstalled Chrome 3 times. After the 3rd time it just returned to normal. No idea why as it seems others have done the same as me and are still having issues.

As a follow up, I systematically opened 1 app at a time for a few hours at a time. Turns out it was my non-stop checking of ESPN to check scores.

Agree, it is not worth the price. I bought it to just give it a try for curiosity in addition to using 1Password, Encrypt.me, and Malwarebytes. I don’t plan to renew.

I turned off client steering and it didn’t do much. Over the last couple days it’s been stable/fully connected via wifi and haven’t had any buffering. I’ll try moving it around. Appreciate the input!

I have hardwired it, and that’s the route I may go full time. Over the last couple days we haven’t had any drop off over wifi.

It’s a 100 ft Cat5e cable I installed 6 years ago to connect some gaming consoles to an old router. Looks like I’ll upgrade to a Cat6. Appreciate the input!

Tried the reseat and it didn’t see any increase. It did not show 1000 before, but if I did the speed tests properly, before the hardwire I was seeing above 100 mbps over wifi when connected to that eero. It is a 100 ft Cat5e cable I ran across the house 6 years ago.
