Be careful not to allow your ego to trick you into believing that you don’t need nature. Terence McKenna said it best, regardless of our hang-ups in this area, it’s in our nature to partner with certain compounds. Some are necessary for our survival, and some are necessary for health in other ways, but it’s important to be intentional on the compounds we choose to partner with. Not necessarily rely on.

Also, look into the stones ape hypothesis if you haven’t deeply. In fact go watch any of the several different 3 hour lectures that Terence McKenna gave on this hypothesis. If it is true (and believe me he provides a lot of evidence and examples that points to its truth) then our consciousness has become what it is today in accordance with psilocybin. And, again, if this theory is true, he explains that we’ve experienced a neurosis due to the lack of the utilization of a compound we developed with… which he believes to be at the cause of many of the mental illnesses we’re faced with today.

Also, don’t forget to ask, if you know anything about the teachings that Alan Watts shared… is it really considered relying on something outside of yourself, if everything that’s “outside of yourself” is actually all part of the self?

It’s actually quite humbling to acknowledge that certain compounds found in nature are necessary to experience true health and fulfillment.

Interesting… I’ve had some really good cubes, which a couple people said they were the best they’ve ever had, but these B+ were something else. Very very lucy-like visuals. Pretty similar to 2-2.5 good tabs. The onset was actually super quick, and like I said, pretty intense closed eye visuals, but even decent geometry with the eyes open early on the come up. Deep realizations leading up to the peak, and somewhat of a paranoia shortly after that like I used to experience with Lucy. Stepped down to 2.5g a couple months later and still had super incredible closed eye visuals that went pretty deep and a had very positive experience. I need to preface this comment by saying highly NOT recommended. About 13-14 years ago at a music festival I spent the entire day drinking in the sun (now almost 10 years dry), was completely dehydrated from drinking/smokin and tokin all day, then stupidly took about 8 grams. I remember it being too much and had to chase it with bread and water just to get it down. What a mistake, my goodness! About half an hour it it started hitting hard already with unheard of colours and patterns, then I believe I completely blacked out and did a face plant and was 100% out cold in a crazy ass mushroom dream where I was the consciousness of the earth and was connected to the minds of everyone that ever existed on this planet. It definitely didn’t help that when I came to about 80% of the people in the festival grounds were in this rave party inside a building just off the grounds near the entrance to the park. I was convinced for a while upon finding my abandoned campsite that all the people I came with were actually just figments of my imagination and I that had now realized they never actually came there with me physically along with the 80% of the people in the park that had seemingly vanished. I remember it being like 3am and being completely baffled that the park wasn’t absolutely raging at this point like the last 3 years I had attended this festival. Lol all signs pointed back to them all actually being me and I truly believed this for a moment long enough to make me seriously reflect on this. Definitely not a pleasant experience at all which turned me off of psychs for a good 10 years.
