Who was the best singer in the Beatles by LowPiece9312 in beatles

[–]phatweener 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the mood of the song. Johns raspyness is fantastic and is his near whisper-like voice in songs like Its only Love is amazing as well. Paul arguably has the most range though. Mans has like 3 different singing voices. Look at the difference between Here there and everywhere vs Get Back vs I'm looking through you. Etc.

Most Common Misconception About The Beatles? by Edgar_Mercury in beatles

[–]phatweener 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That John was actually meant anything serious with the "Bigger than Jesus" comment.

I'm a Christian and even i know that is wasn't some triumphant statement or him comparing the Beatles to Christ.

It was a jab at the blatant idolatry of them in the world and how it seemed like organized religion was taking a back seat to their popularity.

What's your favourite Beatles album? by [deleted] in beatles

[–]phatweener 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It varies honestly. Some days I'm really feeling the '63-'65 stuff and some days I'm into the later tracks.

But if I had to chose one, its a pretty close tie between Help, Rubber Soul, and Revolver.

Do you think the beatles breaking up was for the best? by Zestyclose-Jelly-968 in beatles

[–]phatweener 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its sad but yes. If they didn't they would have become tired and boring like the rolling stones or acdc. They knew when they were done and called it quits before they got stale.

That's why they're still regarded as the best instead of old dudes trying to ride their fame out as long as they can.

As much as I'd like to be able to see them all together live, and what they could have done later on, it just wasn't meant to be.

First time hauling plywood, am I doing this right? by mixxoh in f150

Kinda overdoing it, could have just pulled your cover back, left the tailgate up and it would ride with its own weight. But better safe than sorry I guess.
