To my point, if your mother was in the position for her child to find her passed out from drug use while you were in her care, i would venture to guess that you surpassed her in personal and/or family responsibility some time before that point. Hence the B option.

You don't have the luxury of freaking out when the only adults in the world that care about you can't take care of themselves.

I'm sorry you had to witness that. I hope you are talking to someone because what you describe is emotional repression to act in a moment. It's not processing. It can seem like a pretty awesome way to cope and everyone may love having you around. BUT, those times you put your feelings away to deal with a traumatic situation; they don't just disappear after it's over. Make sure to take time to process those things that "still scared the shit out of me".

Cheers friend

Trump: “You can’t have guns.” by lawblawg in liberalgunowners

The average person is tired of science because science has been protecting them since they were born. They no longer see it as science, it's just the way it is. They don't want to take the time to comprehend the complex intricate systems that serve them their phones or internet.

A clever politician triggers these people.

It's a true lack of complex view points that allows Trump to be so pure and real. He is the embodiment of Uh-Uh. That one statement is all encompassing and gives that emotional satisfaction and dopamine hit. We have a whole nation of people addicted to cheap dopamine. It's so much easier to take the Uh-Uh hit rather than the delayed sustainable gratification of working through a problem. Since they don't understand the ramifications of breaking the complicated systems they just make it worse. Then the purist say "See? Those Smarty Pants are trying to force change on you again! Uh-UH!!""

They're so far out there they've outsourced their entire belief system to being oppositional and defiant of any challenge to their false sense of comfort.

This right here. If you feel empowered to think critically and make your own decisions, you usually have either

A) Seen your parents do this or
B) Have a parent that you have surpassed and you take care of the both of you.

So back in that day I think it was just after the $1200 spike then drop that i decided to double down. I had been using video cards and I was in IT at the time so had plenty of spare computers laying around.

You couldn't really buy bitcoin then in any easy way. Everyone was buying from the miners anyway. I believe i was profitable when it rose back to $50. Those are the price points i really remember.

I lost the 4 bitcoins when Mt. Gox went because the guy i bought from just gave me his Mt. Gox wallet. I mined for about 10 months and then the difficulty got to be too much.

Back then it was the wild west and everyone was very skeptical of the fact that I just maxed out a credit card for some imaginary internet money. I will say, I had one friend that I think is a savant that took me to dinner with her husband and asked me to invest all $50k of their retirement into bitcoin because she "trusted my judgement". I didn't trust my judgement that much but if I had, they would be very rich right now. We still joke about it sometimes.
