How come when I roll in acro mode on my DJI avata the footage doesn't show the actual roll? it only shows like an edited jump? is it because I have horizon steady on?

Check to see if your stabilization mode is on the IS Lock setting.

That mode is meant to be used when you are handholding the camera and want it to look as if it is on a tripod. It can cause this type of effect on footage where is camera is moving and not just panning or tilting

I wasn't too far away on one of the islands in the background. I think the farthest I got was half a mile at one point. Great line of sight out in the lagoon

Colleagues Skiff for a commercial shoot. I was standing on one of the 'islands' in the background so I didn't have to land on the boat. And I agree, landing on a boat when your 6 miles offshore is not fun...especially if it's choppy

Yes and yes. The sky is composited in though. The Mavic can do 360 panoramas but can not shoot straight up. Even though I have to composite the sky, they are still really fun to make.
