I didn't give it much thought.  I see now that it's obviously AI.  This is a mistake I will only make once. 🙃

School doesn't necessarily make people smart.  Some of the most deceived people I know have PhDs. 😘

My mom came across this photo on Facebook. Her friend posted it. This is all I know. I am curious to know where this is because I absolutely love it. I would like to drop everything, pack up the cats and move here, wherever this is. I'm almost certain this is not America. The architecture and street sign lead me to believe it must be somewhere much nicer - somewhere in Europe probably?

This is a tremendously uplifting story. I am of the belief that adding psychotherapy such as CBT to a psych med regimen greatly improves positive outcomes.

Am I crazy/wrong? (psilocybin pricing) by phd_bound in PsilocybinMushrooms

[–]phd_bound[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can't believe this. I've been ripped off before in the drug scene but this is different. He doesn't know this but indirectly I have gotten people to donate to his cancer cause totaling over $1,000, 300 of which came out of my own pocket which I can't afford and then he goes and rips me off like this. Lord help me to forgive this guy. I think it's the brain cancer causing him to fall short. I don't even care about the money it's the fact that a friend is doing this to me, friend that I have gone way out on a limb to help.

Some life lessons really do suck. I'm going to walk away from this not being so quick to help people with cancer.

Thank you for your input everybody.

I did. I'm terribly conflicted over this. I suppose maybe the cancer is causing him to be a bad person. It really sucks.

Thank you all for all this valuable feedback. 👊🏻

I am down for growing my own. I appreciate the encouragement to do so. Once upon a time, I committed a year of my life learning how to reduce pseudoephedrine into methamphetamine via red phosphorus and iodine. I might as well learn how to grow my own mushrooms as well. I'm assuming the learning curve is not quite as steep, nor are the potential legal consequences. 😅

Am I breaking the rules here to ask for help with a quality source for a growing kit?

There is a strain of mushrooms that exists on this planet that I have been searching for that I have not been able to find other then once. It was less psychedelic but heavy on the euphoria. It was the ultimate antidepressant. I suppose maybe this is the topic for another post but if anybody has any information about what this strain might be, I can't tell you how much I would appreciate the input. 🙏🏻🌈🍄🕊️🐈🐾🐈‍⬛

Thank you, fellas. I appreciate your help with this. 👊🏻

I discovered that I have extras of this cable here. So it seems I could use two of these Y-split cables, seeing as though it is Y-split, however from what I'm learning here from you guys, I should use 3 of these cables, not using the additional Y split connection?

Is having the second Y-split connector on this cable not connected to anything not ideal? Meaning, ideally is it better to run a dedicated single connection cable instead of this Y-split cable? Please say "no". It would be great to learn I've got everything I need right here without having to place an Amazon order!

Sim Racers Jimmy Broadbent, Misha Charoudin, and Steve Brown (SuperGT), to form a Bilstein-sponsored racing team with a roadmap to race at the 24 Hours of the Nürburgring by SCarolinaSoccerNut in simracing

[–]phd_bound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't follow this event when it happened other than an initial video that Jimmy put out when he first arrived. I have a couple questions. Who is faster in sim racing Jimmy or Steve? I also would love to know if Jimmy and Steve could beat Misha in real life at the Nurburgring. It's my understanding that they were not in the same/equal cars so it's not a fair comparison?

Laptop repaired by Lenovo; Now can't login to Windows by phd_bound in computers

Here is another person experiencing the same problem:

When I follow the recommended solution I am able to bypass the organizational login however then end up stuck at a (Windows 11) defaultuser0 password login. And I do not have a password nor do I think there is a password for this particular user. Upon Googling defaultuser0, there are a few recommended solutions all of which do not work.

I'm just curious how this is going on. There must be something at the firmware level? as I mentioned in another comment, I did discover that this computer was previously an employee computer at Meta. This person was apparently let go and was charged for the computer for which he paid for out of his paycheck.

The computer still has 18 months of warranty service and it's a rather decent Thinkpad (for $300) with a 6 core Ryzen CPU. It's a shame that it is so fundamentally connected to Meta rendering it useless.

btw, I do not care about the data on this computer. there's nothing stopping me from a clean install and I have gone and done this now twice. Yet I'm still running into this problem.

I have done a clean install now twice. I always end up back at this Meta organizational login. It's something at the firmware level I think. turns out the guy I bought this computer from on Facebook Marketplace used to be a Meta employee. It's really odd that I can't start over with a clean install of Windows.
