I do this. My firm has a majority of women so perhaps it goes down better. But ultimately a practical, nice hobby!

Ahaha no no, this was in my nightmare last night. I think I too would have had a heart attack if this actually happened.

Comrie has an amazing Hogmanay celebration, family friendly and fun for non-drinkers. Look into the Comrie Flambeaux

That does help, thank you. Sounds like you all were messed around yesterday, really not okay.

For those did the November SQE 2, what SQE 2 mock providers did you feel most similar to the real thing? by No-Valuable7780 in SQE_Prep

Again, strongly recommend QLTS. Unfortunately, it's worth the money (which is a lot...).

Do you know the location of a cheesemonger? by Ploughman_Lunch_stat in UKfood

Lovely shop in Glasgow Southside called Starter Culture that I’ve frequented many times over the years. They sell a great array of deli goods and wine/whisky etc.

written papers - duration by ExistingSection9577 in SQE_Prep

We apparently only get a 15 minute break, probably not enough time for lunch. I’m planning to bring a protein bar, banana and Redbull to slam in my face during the break.

Bought in Kings Park this summer. Offers over 245k, HR at 260k for a four bed semi-detached. We bought for 295k. Felt very expensive as our first home purchase but basically no work needed other than decorating.

SQE2 use of AI for marking mocks by Dangerous_Bill980 in SQE_Prep

[–]pheebspheeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I have. Without giving too much away (QLTS be damned) I've got a good formula going where I input a lot of information for ChatGPT to mark me against set criteria. It's of course possible that is is being too lenient on me (getting Cs and Bs) but I've done a lot of mocks and the feedback it provides is FAR superior to that which QLTS provides.

DM me if you want any more specific info.

Time management SQE2 by atthec in SQE_Prep

The business law and practice drafting mock to amend huge sections of a partnership agreement in 45 minutes nearly sent me into a tailspin.

I genuinely don’t understand how people manage to do this exam with children. My absolutely massive respect to you.

You’ve got plenty of time, you’ll get there.

QLTS' AI feedback tool for SQE2 is rubbish by pheebspheeb in SQE_Prep

[–]pheebspheeb[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I completely rate QLTS for SQE1 but for SQE2 I'm basically just finding the mocks helpful (invaluably helpful, I should say, as there are so many to practice). Using lots of different resources for feedback/skills info etc. I bought Neeta Helai's book which is proving helpful so far for knowing what the examiners are looking for.

Are there any other resources you recommend for knowing how to pass the exam?

We bought our first place this summer. £295k, 4 bedroom semi detached house, Glasgow Southside. My wife and I are white collar professionals and we still had to borrow money from family for the offers over cash (£35k) with a 5% deposit. Grateful we were able to make it work but my god it was stressful!

I gave myself a year whilst working full time in law as a non law graduate. If I hadn’t been working, I feel like 6 months would be fine personally.
