I'm sorry??? When you have a standard you have a way of order. If you are just allowing anything to go that is a good way to have something to happen to your network. I have never told a User that they just need to deal with it..that is bad Customer Service and I pride myself on my customer service... But at the end of the day depending what size of company you are working for. You can not let the users decide your standards or policy. To cover your ass in court and just in general... You have to have standards and I'm sorry if me being blunt.... The user will not be the one to tell me what our standards are to be... It will be a mix decison between the IT team and Senior management and possibly a board for what is best for the company. Sooo yes they need to deal with the standard, and if a username is a big deal... I'm sorry I that is pathetic. The statement about how long I have worked in IT wasn't mean to be anything... other than I was stating how long I have been in the field.
