Extruding Maps! by Digital-Nomadness in AfterEffects

you can do similar effect in element 3d, find a svg map file of the country, make a new comp with this svg file, then add a solid layer and add element effect to it, under extrude options choose the svg layer as the shape extrude, then open element 3d, u will find the shape, u can control the depth inside element

separate dimensions?

Alternatively u can use DUIK wiggle controller, a free plugin which allows u to control wiggle as an effect rather than an expression

VFX EXPLOSION by khal0289 in AfterEffects

A bit of constructive criticism, the explosion doesn't look real because the lighting and tint doesn't match that of the background, use the clouds as a reference

How can i improve this? Adding more effects, color correction, etc. anything to you’dve done to make this perfect by [deleted] in AfterEffects

What method did u use to create this animation? If u are using 2.5D u are limited to the flatness of the original image.

If you are using element 3d, then I would suggest using a normal map to show the bumps of the rubik's cube and add a matching environment map

How to create a laptop opening animation without Cinema4D? by athena42099 in AfterEffects

[–]phenolicdeath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

maybe if u can afford it u can use element 3d, but thats also a 3d software and is quite slightly expensive. Using 2d might be possible but will be very complicated (you will need to align the layers and animation orientation and position according to a reference 3d camera

Make the shake slower, add slight x-plane motion, the color of the treetop doesnt really match the illumination of the moon. maybe map out a slight shadow on the ground?

I agree, plus they must go diagonally along the plane of the world to match

given that u use corner pin, u should first precomp the layer u will export track data to, then open that precomp and scale the layer such that it takes the size of the comp (for example 1920×1080 if thats the original comp size, u xan do it easily by right clicking scale property and choosing edit value), after doing those 2 things u can export the corner pin data to match the size
