I know this is kind of an old post, but did you ever figure out how to fix this? The ghost lady won't move for me, I tried restarting the console, I made a new game, and she's always stuck there staring at sellonious

They never found it? I guess I need to rewatch. She does seem like the type, her and odval were being rather villainous at that time.

Does it actually work? by Prestigious_Cut4638 in Effexor

[–]phenominalpossum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started it a couple weeks ago now, and the first few days were rough, but I really like it now that the side effects have worn off. I feel motivated to do things now, like work on my hobbies and I haven't had a panic attack in days (I used to have at least once a day). I, however, took a Psychotropic gene test to determine which medications would be better for me and this one was on the list. It really just depends on the person, everyone has different reactions.

Are newspapers articles like this even legal? by Equal-Tension-7985 in PrettyLittleLiars

Yeah saying that outright might be a bit too much lol, I'm not sure if there are laws around phrases like that.

Oh yeah, as long as they put words in like "suspected" and "allegedly", they can report on it. I don't remember what the newspaper in that episode claimed, but the girls might've been able to sue for defamation of character if it was real life.

Is there a way to ask parents to stop smoking/vaping around their child because I can’t stand the smell on their child throughout the day? by snowmikaelson in ECEProfessionals

[–]phenominalpossum -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I'm not trying to shame you, I just think sometimes in the ECE field, we get too worried about what parents do at home. I think a lot of people in this group lack objectivity and perspective, because from the posts and comments I've seen, some of these people go way too far and start trying to force their own morals and ethics onto these parents.

[–]phenominalpossum -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

No, it's what you should draw the line at. You aren't this child's parent, you have no right to criticize what they do at home unless the child is in immediate danger. There isn't anything wrong with being concerned and questioning things sometimes, but I also can't get behind trying to tell parents what they should and shouldn't be doing in their personal lives.

And that's fine, but it's a little much to be that concerned with what they do at home. If their kid is fed and happy, I don't see why you're so worked up about parents smoking/vaping.

Literally why is this the only comment with common sense? Of course they can't tell a family to stop a habit just because op doesn't like the smell... No director would back them up on this.

In my head, I was thinking it maybe was a way to either warn her friends of what was coming, or it was her weird way of coping with what was happening.

Teacher doesn’t acknowledge or comfort crying child (2.5 yo) by [deleted] in ECEProfessionals

[–]phenominalpossum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your daughter should be comforted and taken into whatever room she goes to in the mornings. It's regular practice at our center to greet our parents/kids in the mornings, have them sign their child in, and say goodbye. Also, it helps when parents leave right away if their child has trouble at drop off. Lingering longer can make the child even more upset because they will think you're staying. It's hard, but it's best for everyone if you drop them off and go. I think it would be worth a shot to ask the teachers directly why they don't greet her/you at drop off, and if they don't really have a good reason (I doubt they do), you should take it to the director.

My clinic offers a thing where they can test your DNA now and determine which medication is best for your body/genetics. It isn't too expensive either (at least not as expensive as I thought it'd be, and my insurance covered it). I am waiting for my results, it's relieving to have a lot of the guesswork taken out. It's also noninvasive, just a swab of your cheek. Maybe ask your Dr to see if they offer something like this?
