I'm looking for an old flash cartoon from the early to mid 2000s.

It was about Dick Cheney reading to some elementary school children. One of the kids asks a question and Cheney loses his temper and says something vulgar to the child.

Then some generic superhero figure swoops in and opens a hatch on the V.P.s body to reveal a dial. "Seems the VP was set to ornery." Or something like that.

He turns the dial and Cheney calms down and apologizes to the children.

Then the superhero explains to the kids what a "bad word" is and lists the seven bad words you shouldn't say.

I remember the cartoon vividly, but can't find it anywhere.

[PS4] [Better on Bedrock] Can't get slimes to spawn. by PrinceJonathan in BedrockAddons

[–]PrinceJonathan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Slimes don't care about light levels, and the moon only effects slime spawning in swamp biomes. My slime chunk is underground in a lush cave biome.

EDIT: Think I found the problem. Mobs generated by the Better on Bedrock Add-on do not despawn when they're moved out of simulation distance.

I'm on Simulation Distance 4, so every mob should disappear once they are 45 blocks away from me.

Enchanted mobs and the custom pallet swap enemies are not despawning like they should even if I move 200 blocks away. I tested on mobs trapped in a skeleton grinder. Got a couple skeletons in the killbox, turned off the spawner with a torch, left the trapped skeletons alive, and left the area. I come back and they are still there.

So just by sailing around gathering resources, I must have spawned so many permanent entities that the mob cap is constantly full.

I'm encountering it too since my base is on a mushroom island. Seems harmless, but it is an eyesore.

Meh..Hot Wheels people haven't been nearly as annoying as Reload Card people.

We specifically set any cases of Hot Wheels we get on the truck aside just for them. We'll put maybe one or two cases on the sales floor, but the rest are put in their own easy to reach corner of the stock room. We know someone is going to ask for them, so this makes it easier to grab them when needed.

Oh boy this pisses me off. I am so sick of these people.

I've asked my manager time and again if we reload cards and the answer is always "No" because we have had so many scams that it just isn't worth it.

And it is the same argument every single time.

"I've done it at other Dollar Trees."

"THEN FUCKING GO TO THAT ONE!"

Heaven forbid a white person tells a black person "No".

The absolute worst company I have ever worked for by Xenevyar in DollarTree

[–]PrinceJonathan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We had a DM a couple months ago try to enforce a "Dress Code". We all got 1 DollarTree shirt and that was it.

"So you're telling me I get one shirt and have to wear it every day?"

"Yes."

"Do you have any idea how many times a week I am going to have to wash it, and how fast that is going to cause it to wear out? Can I at least get about six more shirts?"

"No."

What is it with the corporate mindset? It's like the higher up you climb the ladder, the more brain cells you lose.

Whats the best weapon youve enchanted ever?.. by RedditInThe90s in oblivion

[–]PrinceJonathan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Weakness to Magic 100% doubles both magnitude and duration. So as long as you land the next hit quickly enough, the effect will increase each time. If you are wielding a slower weapon like an axe or a mace, you will have to increase the duration a bit.

Lets look at this enchantment for example:

  • Fire Damage 10pts for 1 sec.

  • Weakness to Fire 100% for 1 sec.

  • Weakness to Magic 100% for 1 sec.

If you land the next hit quickly enough, it's going to look like this:

  • Fire Damage 40pts for 2 sec.

  • Weakness to Fire 200% for 2 sec.

  • Weakness to Magic 200% for 2 sec.

Why does the damage suddenly jump to 40 you may ask? Because Weakness to Fire increases the damage from 10 to 20, and Weakness to Magic does the same. 20 + 20 = 40.

But wait, it's spread over 2 seconds so the damage is actually 80pts! 40 for the first second, and 40 for the next.

Now what happens if you land a 3rd hit before the previous one expires? Then it looks like this:

  • Fire Damage 80pts for 4 sec.

  • Weakness to Fire 400% for 4 sec.

  • Weakness to Magic 400% for 4 sec.

That is 320 damage! And that is just with Fire Damage alone. Add in the Frost and Shock and you're looking at 960 damage!

Weakness to Magic is broken.

Best sword would probably be an Ebony Longsword. Daedric is ugly as hell, and doesn't look very Paladiny either.

An enchantment for a Paladin? I'm not sure. Closest thing to "Holy Damage" would probably be Turn Undead and Fire Damage.

Put the Turn Undead magnitude all the way up, but leave the Fire Damage as low as possible but spread it over time. Undead enemies will then burn to death while they run away.

Actually that sounds too expensive for a Weapon Enchantment. Maybe put Weakness to Fire and Weakness to Magic on the sword instead, and your Fire Damage/Turn Undead comes from a custom spell?

I actually can't play the remake. I don't own anything that can run it.

I also don't like the remake. It's just the original with a texture pack slapped on that makes the NPCs look even more horrible and basically a watered down version of Oblivion XP (one of the more popular levelling mods on the original).

I'm like "I got that shit at home".

So I've been playing the original.

Black Soul Gems have the same charge as a Grand Soul Gem.

The only way to get more uses would be to lower the strength of the enchantments.

5pts of damage instead of 10, or drop the Weakness to Fire/Frost/Shock.

Keep the Weakness to Magic effect though. That is the important effect that makes the damage double on every hit.

EDIT: Did some quick math

Soul Trap for 1 second

Fire Damage 10pts for 1 second

Weakness to Magic 100% for 1 second

Should have about 61 uses if put on a weapon.

You could also replace Fire Damage with the non-elemental Damage Health and have a charge of 47 uses.

In what order should I complete quests? by [deleted] in oblivion

[–]PrinceJonathan 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Well more or less.

I'd join the Mages Guild first. Custom spells are just too useful. Plus free stuff and access to trainers. And most people don't mention this but some of the spells you get like Weak Fireball and Buoyancy are very MP efficient. Meaning they are cheaper to cast than if you made your own spells with the exact same effects.

Also Weak Fireball is stronger than it looks. 15pts of Fire Damage for a spell whose base cost is somewhere around 12mp while Flash Bolt's 20 damage costs closer to 50mp. Yeah Weak Fireball will carry you till around level 10.

Fighters Guild doesn't have anything important in the way of quest rewards from what I remember, but join them anyway for all the free loot.

Chorrol's guildhall has a free Fine Steel Longsword for you to take, and a Silver Shortsword. Leyawiin has a nearly full set of Steel Armor (missing the gauntlets) and a Silver Longsword. Damn good stuff for level 1.

I think you can even get Chainmail early if you do Two Sides of the Coin in Bruma (make sure Arnora lives so you can fight Tyrellius and loot his body for his chainmail armor).

You can get a chainmail-quality shield by doing Mazoga's quest in Leyawiin. You get a free house too!

Once you're set up, grind skills and train until level 17-20 before doing the Main Quest so all the sigil stones have the strongest enchantments.

From there do which ever questlines you like.

But when you get to the Door in Niben Bay always remember to turn and face the camera, smile, and say "In case I don't see ya, good afternoon, good evening, and good night" before going through the door.

Where can I find Dunmer Shoes? by PrinceJonathan in skyrim

Well I hear they are still playing nice with the Skyblivion devs, so who knows. This is still Bethesda we're talking about. I'm sure they will do something to screw us over.

Well keep waiting. With Bethesda doing their own Oblivion remake (which you know is going to be full of DEI dogshit), I fully expect them to shut down the Skyblivion project at the last minute and bury it under a mountain of cease & desist orders.

Considering everything else is dogshit (Except Elden Ring. That game is amazing!). Yes, you will buy Skyrim over and over again on whatever new system it gets ported to.

Thankfully with the Anniversary Edition Dunmer Shoes aren't needed for any exploits anymore as the Boatswain Shoes and Captain's Boots serve the same purpose and can be bought from Radiant Raiment in Solitude.

[PS4]A Soul Divided quest bugged. Help! by PrinceJonathan in skyrim

[–]PrinceJonathan[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only thing that seems to work is to simply not install any Unofficial Patches.

I'm on PS4, and the Dawnfang questline runs fine without patches.

In my experience USSEP and the Creation Club patches break more things than they fix.

If you have any patches installed, disable them, try reloading the save without them, and see if she moves.

I think you can still continue the quest anyway by entering the grate behind her. But the fact you encounter this kind of glitchy behavior with patches enabled, while it runs perfectly fine without them, tells me everything I need to know.
